My Danessa Myricks Lightworks IV came in the mail from Beautylish yesterday and my cost-benefit analysis was: "You're paying $12.50/pan for the multichromes (without the discount); is that worth it to you if the middle shades end up blah?" The answer for me, personally, was yes since they tend to run around $15-25/pan through indie brands. I also had a $20 gift card, making it $105 ($10.50/pan), so it was definitely a cost savings, since several of them were multichrome shades I've been wanting for a while from other brands. It was worth it to me, but that doesn't mean it's worth it for everyone. 💁🏾♀️

This is my feeling about the palette as well, the amazing multichromes far outweigh the middle shades.

I prefer to give my $ to Clionadh which are handmade than a palette made in china at that price point
@kadijadeen27242 жыл бұрын
As a person of color, almost every palette I own has at least one or more pans I can't use. What is "nude" for some doesn't work for me. Pastel pinks and soft mauve tones are somewhat a waste for me, no matter what the brand, so for some of us, 10/14 worthwhile shades is a fairly good ratio. So, for people saying it's all or nothing, that is a privileged prerogative you have. It may not feel like a good investment for you. For people used to makeup companies not catering to usability by people of your skintone, it just isn't that dramatic to me. The 10 multichrome pans I use, I could easily hit pan with the number of looks I've been able to make both alone and in conjunction with other palettes.
@kadijadeen27242 жыл бұрын
@@JenMakeupDollxo Finding value in this palette doesn't negate the value of investing in Clionadh, but their 11 pan multichrome bundle is $149. Again, my point was that the payoff and value you get for the 10 best pans in this palette is less than people pay for, e.g. Chaos Cosmetics.

I’ve never tried the tubing mascara you talk about here, but just as a tubing mascara user, cold water or cool water is the worst temperature to use to get it off. They are generally designed to come off only in warm or hot water. That way they can claim “waterproof”, bc rain and pools, etc are not normally warm or hot. Maybe that will help you remove it? Idk, worth a shot if you’re using cold/cool water :-)
@sjworrier06132 жыл бұрын
1000% true, if you’re using room temp or cool water it’s probably not going to come off. My issue is with tubing mascara is I prefer using a cloth and miscellar water to remove makeup or a cleansing balm which removes mascara as normal, so removing tubing mascara is kinda an extra step or I’m just a very lazy person lol. The snapscara by Maybelline? That’s my favorite! They put it in the tubing category but it doesn’t come off in tubes, but it’s not waterproof (there is a WP version though) it doesn’t flake or smudge throughout the day yet it comes off effortlessly with the rest of my makeup without me having to scrub my lashes.

I haven't tried that specific tarte tubing mascara, but one of my favorite mascara releases of 2022 was the caliray hell or highwater tubing mascara and I've seen a lot of people complain that it's hard to remove. Honestly I think it comes down to removal technique because I never have issues removing tubing formulas with warm water and my hands. I don't think tubing mascara is best to remove with a makeup pad or cloth (which I think many resort to soaking a pad with water and trying to remove it that way). I've found the best way is using warm water and gently massaging your lashes with your fingers to break up the tubes and slide them off. I'm also a night showerer and almost always remove my mascara in the shower though, and that method is even easier then bc the hot water and steam always softens the mascara and makes it effortless to just gently massage the tubes off my lashes near the end. I just follow up with a normal cleanser at the end of my shower to get any remnants hanging out in my water line and everything is gone by then. I'd recommend trying that method if you haven't!

I really like your videos, because you always say WHY you love/hate something. Also - hats off to the editor 😆

Hello I think I was told Nars foundation would be good for when you sweat. I was juay told this the other day. But I forget which brand. I'm almost positive it's Nars

I had no idea it was possible to have a tough time removing tubing mascaras. I've used the tarte one tons and comes off just as easy as all the others!

Hey Morgan! Is the too faced born this way the natural nudes palette any good?

I know I’m not Morgan, but I adore this palette! It was the eyeshadow I wore on my wedding day, it’s really good 💖

I especially agree with the Tarte mascara. It's just meh. Purity made simple does melt it easily off your eyes. I have sensitive eye skin and need to use this to remove eye makeup.

I actually got the Charlotte Tilbury concealer in an Influenster box and was really excited to try it (my first CT product!) but I was SO very disappointed. Like you said there are much better concealers for a fraction of the price!

DM is Morphe. Screw Morphe. For water activated stuff, I prefer a watercolor pan, scrape some product in and add a couple drops of Kryolan cel sealer. 100% every time, any shadow. That DM palette was a hardcore gimmick. I hope you do more of these, but sorry you have to buy this stuff!!

I had the worst time with that Patrick Ta foundation. I was so disappointed as I loved both the eyeshadow palettes and the (first)blush palette. I had to take it back to Sephora and didn’t even bother to try another shade I hated the coverage(and that powder😣) so much. Thanks for saving me the money on the second blush/highlighter palette. We seem to have similar skin types(normal/dry) so we like the same complexion products👍🏾

Yeah I don’t care for that Sephora concealer for under my eyes either but it’s great for spot concealing so I been using it for that
