RAW’s Guest Host era was so bad because some of the people didn’t even know the names of the wrestlers or the upcoming PPV’s. Basically it was for WWE to get some more exposure on the product, they should’ve got people who were actually was a fan of wrestling

The Guest Host era on Raw, to be fair, was a mixed bag of sorts; as at that period it had no general manager like on SmackDown which had Teddy Long (one of the best in said position in company history)

Oh my God Michael Cole’s heel run from 2010-12 was just so insufferably dreadful to get through. Even though WWE the product at the time, Michael Cole almost made me stop watching wrestling entirely because he was just so annoying. Sure he was a heel that that you actually hated, but it eventually garnered into go away heat much like Stephanie McMahon during the terrible The Authority era. Those are some very dark times.

I will never be able to figure out why people say the Triple H reign of terror was bad but they praise the Bloodline. The reign of terror lead to two of the main eventers of the future, one still going today. The Bloodline has probably only really helped Jey Uso.

Actually a great video talking about what Raw Underground could've been is the very interesting video from Partsfunknown, and titled How Adam Would Book: Raw Underground. This same series also did one on Retribution, and baisically made it into a NXT civil war. If anyone hasn't seen either video, highly recconmend it even thought I'm not a wrestling fan myself, the videos themselves are very entertaining, and showed something that could be shown on Netflix or Disney Plus.

I liked what they started with Retribution until they actually introduced themselves. The destruction of the ring was really cool, but after that it just got worse every week. Weak motivations, being booked to just constantly fail and those ridiculous names turned a potentially great idea into a complete shemozzle.

Oh my god was Michael Cole as a heel unbearable to say the least. To me Cole was always annoying, mediocre and cringe, even now still but when you fanboy for the Miz of all people and feud with a fellow commentator in which you get put on a Mania card…very unacceptable. Triple H's run actually did make me stop watching wrestling for decades. I got so sick and tired of seeing him eat up what felt like a 3rd of every Raw cutting promos and having drawn-out matches only to win every single time that I just lost interest. This was also around that the time that WWE seemed to lose its taste for fun and ditched most gimmicks, so every bout to me just felt like Generic Man A vs Generic Man B.
