Is their washrooms available or not?because Iam travelling with family, childrens,in stations train halt for how much time, can we go freely without any worry to station washrooms, may be if we go to washrooms in stations then train starts running?

There are no washrooms in the train but you can use it in the stations while they stop at each station easily

You can book in IRCTC or any travel apps like makemytrip. Shimla you train is also good. Check the ticket in the irctc app or website..general section is good only

I travelled on all the Indian mountain railways in 1965 when all were steam pulled. - a real joy but diesels have spoilt the attraction for most railfans alas. Very good video showing that the wonderful landscape still remains. I loved the seven months I spent travelling around India by train - an experience never forgotten and the great food eaten en route. I put on weight! Best wishes from Milton Keynes UK. No it's not there..you have the washrooms in the station stops only.. yeah July should be perfect as the outside scenes will be very clear

Yes the public toilets are not clean bcos of like you mindless cleanliness people and you are not only visiting Ooty but in hundreds of people who doesn't know what is cleaness like you so I will ask you don't come back to Ooty if you are not satisfied with our ( Nilgiri mountain railway)

@Azhar Sassy The scenery is definitely wonderful. BUT, I agree with you that I am not sure that the scenery is worth the discomfort of this train ride. I have travelled to Udamandalam several times; but after one ride in this train, I decided that travelling by car would be a much better option.
