I also get a prominent raspberry note, and it reminded me a lot of Juice by Commodity with a tart juicy pulp as a top note. Thankfully, I didn’t get any bug spray vibes.

I could not believe how bad Lancome's La Vie Est Belle Elixir smelled. I described it as the smell of that old time dried potpourri in a bowl at Grandma's house but raspberry bug spray is also spot on.

I agree with so many. I love Initio and I also really didn’t like the new release. But I do have to say that the new Lancôme is one of my favorite favorite fragrances, not just of 2024, but period. I just love the berry smell.

I like Love delight, it’s very feminine, and with a huge sillage. I received a bunch of compliments last summer for this only fragrance although I have so many of them in my collection, niche mostly. People around me like it. The only minus for me is it’s somewhat simplistic, not too niche, and I prefer something that would play throughout the day and will make you solve puzzles “what I feel now”

Glad hear of another person who dislikes mango. It's interesting as at first I really enjoyed Wave Child but a couple of weeks ago I wore it again and I couldn't bear it, rather than the fruity watermelon it originally smelt like to me, this time the ambergris was pungent

I have only used it twice but I'm actually quite into Narcotic Delight. I smell a slightly boozy version of swisher sweets and dark juicy cherries, and maybe a little bonfire

Merry Christmas! It’s interesting how certain houses resonate and others do not. Sounds like many fragrances from Initio do not work well for you. That’s how Giardini di Toscana is for me. I have tried several perfumes from the house and none work for me despite the hype. Other houses like Sora Dora, BDK or Une Nuit Nomade I love everything from those houses lol. Makes it hard to choose! Fun video.

I was super disappointed with "afternoon Delight." The marketing really got me with this one. When you tell me I'm gonna smell like a french cookie, I'm signed up! Instead I got a slightly sweet hand sanitizer. 😢 I kind of enjoyed the La Vie flanker...the rasberry note was nice, but the slight plastic smell in the drydown wasn't as nice.😂 Happy New Year!🎉😊

Hi Jackie! I totally agree on Love Delight from Amouage. I love the opening, but as it moves towards the middle and base notes Love Delight turns into a Jasmine bomb and nothing else on me. Interesting enought, I sprayed it on my son's skin and I can pick up the cocoa and vanilla on him. Skin PH must make a huge difference on fragrances I guess. Blind bought Wave Child and again loved the watery watermelon but it turns seaweed on my skin. Have a great 2025!

I have to add my two cents to the list. The new Gucci Flora in the yellow bottle that came out this year is a SCRUBBER for me! On me it smells just like pouring cheap lemon dish soap on my arm or a gas station lemon thing in their bathrooms! Its hideous on me. My colleague LOVES it! On the flip side the purple one that I think came out just before this maybe this year or late last year, it is so lovely! The green and pink one are nice ( wouldn't buy but nice) but eggghhhhh the yellow one is henious! Miley can keep it lol! ( Face of the campaign!). Happy New year! I am broken hearted about Masion Margelia! SOOO many wins form that house! I have not smelled the new one yet but have heard loads of disappointment!

I think we have similar tastes in fragrances. Pear Gelato: I love gourmands too, but it is so synthetic and unnecessarily sweet to my nose and on my skin. It’s just too much! Love Delight: smells like my vitamin B2 tablets. 😂 I didn’t find anything appealing. The travel spray was returned immediately.

Thank you for the video. Truthfully, I hadn't tried any of those on your list, except Afternoon Delight which was another disappointing Replica frag. Scrubbers for me in 2024 included BDK Saint Honore (smelled like household cleaner), LeLabo Another 13 (ragged, caused a major rash), Atelier Des Ors Villa Primrose (overpowering floral, vegetal smell that took 4 washes to get off), Mancera Red Tobacco Intense (a definite no-smelled like old man with bad breath in a home - no need to go on), Bohoboco Magic Mushrooms (another awful, awful perfume - why do they make these?), and finally Kajal Lamar Noir (very oudy, chockingly smoky, overwhelming beast- no thanks). There were a few others I tried, but these top the list of fragrances I had samples of but quickly dispensed with.

@@jaxbeautifulyou One that was a real surprise for me was an older fragrance by Marina de Bourbon Royal Marina Diamond - especially the dry down - but it is strong so only two sprays is enough for the day. It's a cheapie, and it isn't really gourmand even though it has lots of gourmand notes, but actually quite nice.

I had a sample of Tuberose Astrale, and I do have to say, I appreciate it. A lot. But I'm not going to buy it. It is a one spray perfume for sure, it's nuclear! But that one spray does not last all day and I can NOT respray this unless I will not be around people for the next fortyfive minutes. So, I really appreciate it, but I would not find use for it. Too difficult to wear.

LOVE delight was really terrible for me as well. And I also hate mangos:) by the way and also the smell. My Biggesee disappointment this year was Jardins de Misfah in the extrait version, I was really shocked because I thought they really destroyed the magic of it😮. I hoped for better performance but I had to get rid of it, luckily just a decant.😢

We have such opposite tastes! I always find that so interesting.. I had to grow to love side effect and I love absolute aphrodisiac! Also, great idea on getting a fragrance off. I don't use deodorant, I only use paula's choice as deodorant. I'll try that trick.

@ it’s so interesting how our noses and brains can be wired so differently. One of the reasons perfumery is so fun! I figured since I love Celeste and L’Elixir, I should give Sora Dora Mallow a shot (another raspberry+violet combo). Hands down one of the worst fragrances I’ve ever tried - an instant hate for me. 😂🙅‍♀️

Hello, I know this is about perfumes you don't like but I'm a very recent new subscriber and I'm beginning to get a feel for the fragrances you are into. There's one I think you'd really love. It's called Empire Victor by Khadlaj and it's perfect. It might be my favorite gourmand I've ever tried. It was reformulated in mid 2024 because when it was released it was a little too middle eastern feeling for Western customers apparently. Well, now it's stunning. With 3 different types of vanilla, caramel and Sandalwood, there's no chance you won't love it. I guarantee it! 💜

Lattafa bottles are so so ugly. I wouldn't buy their scents just strictly on the bottles. I had the same reaction to Wavechild. Loved it at first, but then something screechy and harsh came out that made me gag.
