The chi-ha is in my opinion is a very good tank because the heat at least for me was not bad I got a 15 kill game with the chi-ha with one life go Japanese tanks🇯🇵.

The Japanese tanks on the list are actually fun to play. The Ha-Go is very fast and maneuverable, and the heat rounds on the other two can be lobbed from behind hills, leaving the enemy no chance at retaliation(not to mention destroying any lightly armored/un-armored vehicles with ease). Where these tanks really shine though(at least the go-ki) is in the hills. All of them have -15 degrees of depression and are light enough to climb up hills to get to firing positions. If you can use this and their speed, you can attack the enemy without them firing a single shot at you(which is a good thing ;) ).

It's a fun tank but a bad one. This is why I like it. You can have fun while doing effectively nothing in the team. And it's rare because new players doesn't have access to it (at least as far as I know😅)

Ok, as someone who has 100+ kills with all these tanks (except the premiums and Csaba which I'm working on), here's how I rank them from best to worst: 1. M2 2. Chi-Ha 3. M2A2 4. I-Go-Ko 5. Ha-Go 6. Csaba 7. AMC.34 8. FCM.36 9. H.35 I think you should've included the Alecto, Ka-Mi, GAZ-AAA DShk and Light AA Mk 1 which are far worse than some on the list. Also I'm surprised you haven't included the P.7.T AA.

@@blu5021 stop the cap! Alecto is the only piece of shit on this list that I struggle to keep a positive ratio with. It's got a nasty combination of useless HEAT round that doesn't do much damage to Panzers and an extremely long reload that will get you killed bc the Panzer you just shot replaced his dead gunner. Absolute garbage vehicle that I regret buying.

Funny how they removed the regular Ha-Go from the game (for new players) but they still haven't replaced its starter-premium version, leaving the Ro-go the only other rank 1 premium u can buy for Japan. Also I think the Csaba's gun is bugged do to a penetrating 50'cal does more dmg to the crew than its 20mm. And u don't have the Sd.Kfz. 251/10, or u don't think its awful?

There is one thing going for the Independent tank - it's got 4 separate corpse fridges so your team doesn't have to smell enemy success as they die.

I can say that in ~2016 m2a2 was one of the best tanks. Even im as a newbie killed at least somebody on this vehicle EVERY battle.

I actually played as Chi-Ha for quite some time. It was quite hard, but Japan in this Br is underpowered overall compared to US or Germany. It was not the best expirience. I mainly played as this tank due to some kind of armor and some kind of gun. It gets a bit better at 1.7 .

I'm convinced that japanese engineers tested those aphe shells on their paper houses and were so impressed it could almost penetrate the walls that it had to be great against tanks.

The go ko is very good in my opinion, but as sniper, don't go into close combat with it, it's very good for Poland map and I'm very good with it, as long as I stay at distance, because of that heat ammunition

The early Pz.IVs are only 'soft' on the front where it angles inwards because we were used to playing the thing at 4.-4.3 where T-34s and Shermans alike could spank you face first so easily, now in a downtier they are rather scary for some tanks. The Independent can go through the turret front corners and kill the whole turret crew though.

The m2a2 when I first used it was unbelievably frustrating, I couldn't kill anyone but here he kills plenty. I need to try it out again on my new account. I don't know why though people hate the m2, I like it for the multiple machine guns.

I find the M2A2 extremely fun. If you know how to predict where lighter targets go, where to avoid heavily armoured ones and where to shoot, results will be visible

M2A2 is great for it's mobility, there's plenty of vehicles you can pen from the side/rear and you use that mobility to flank, there's only a few things you can't pen at all and you need to learn what they are and avoid them (Pz III E and F, French thicc armor).

On reserve tiers, you can absolutely can get away with anything that has a decent turn radius and gun with a single strength, be it filler, penetration or fire rate. You basically play an SPA, but that can still work. I got my first top tier ace with a knocked out turret ring, but if you win the position fight, which low tier players have no idea about anyway, you got a good shot on a kill.

The AMC.34 YR is one of my favourte 1.0 tanks. Very satifying killing other tanks with it. The penetration is low but at 500m it's still 20mm even at 30°. Which means some tanks are easily penetrated. It also still has the old APHE fuze sensitivity of just 6mm. Meaning you will never overpen armored cars that sometimes only have 6-8mm of armor, since the default APHE fuze sensitivity is 9mm for low calibers. Hull down the armor is also not bad.

The Ha-Go isn't bad actually and I liked it in tier 1 battles better than any other tanks in the other nation tree besides the Russian BT-5 and T-26. It's small, quick, relatively good turret traverse speed and the round itself isn't bad. Sure it's not high penetration nor does it deal high explosive collateral damage but due to its speed and agility, it's a massively great brawl tank where you can afford to throw caution to the wind and take the fight to the enemy's point and just shoot them time and time again till you take them down and that's why I like the Ha-Go alot.

The I-Go-Ko and Chi-Ha are both wonderful tanks, tier 1 Japan was my favorite tier 1 so far and I've played them all except France and Britain

It would appear that the tanks that suffer the most are obviously infantry tanks designed for trench warfare and solely focussed on anti-infantry. Low tier US tanks are usually good because almost all of them have a .50cal and/or a 37mm with decent armor and speed. The 7.62mm on almost all of the other country's tanks are either there for historical accuracy and/or basic anti-air. Tier 1 is pretty fun for America because they have a HMG spam and a gun to penetrate as well as decent AA. Germany and Russia get some good tanks at T1 based on their main gun and sometimes armor. Almost everyone else sufferes from a lack of balance.

The BM 8-24 was a beast before they nerfed the rockets; it used to be able to kill almost any tank in its BR with 2 or 3 hits but then they made the rockets do as much damage as the actually should so it became mostly useless.

The main reason why Japanese tanka sucked to tank to tank combat is because the Japaneses were mainly fighting the Chineses, which didn't have much tanks or armoured vehicles so they were more used as infantry support tanks

Your top 2 tanks are supposed to get apds. Sweden gets future tech apds on their reserve tanks, but france can't get apds they used at the time.

well even if they do get APDS, how much pen is it gonna have considering the fact that the barrel is so short? most people don't understand that it's not the diameter of the round but the length of the barrel that determines the velocity and thus the pen of the round, that's why the German squeezy boy has so much pen with only 20 mm rounds and the French Lorraine 37 has so much pen with only 37 mm.

@@giovannifoulmouth7205 Barel length isn't the only determining pen factor but yes it's relevant. While the apds probably wouldn't affect the tank's atrocious status it will make french reserve a bit more bearable. The brandit 37/25 apds penetration at 100m 0° angle is 51mm which isn't much but it's miles better than what we have now. And by the way the german armored car isn't a good example of barel lenght increasing penetration because it is a squeeze bore gun that reduces the initial calibre of the shell from 28mm to 20mm. That's why it has a great penetration.

Machineguns often are deadlier than actual main guns in tier 1, depends on caliber ofc but harder to pinpoint location in bushy terrain when shot with mgs and they can shred bunch of important parts faster than weaker main guns

In that last game you kept hitting that Italian tank on the angled and overlapping part of the driver’s hatch or the MG mount. It was painful to watch as any adjustment you made was matched by the enemy. And of course your tank was a complete bucket of trash ie. it’s _low tier French_ and that’s the same thing after all.

The Panzer IV that you fought with the Independent was actually the Pz IV Ausf E (because of the additional armor plates) not the Ausf C

Honestly I dont think the gun matters in low tier, especially tier one. As long as the platform its attached to is good you can work around it. Whether its the mobility of a tank like the m2a2 or the gremlin sized L3, I personally think that they are some of the most enjoyable to play in the game. On the other hand tanks like the independent are just massive painfully slow targets with a pathetic gun to match. Tanks like that are just entirely unfun to play.

For the T-26 penning your AMC, you're reading the charts incorrectly. You can't look at "effective armor" AND then also use the angled column in the pen chart. That's double dipping. The "effective armor" already roughly takes into account the angle performance. So choose one OR the other: use the 0 degrees column but compare to "effective" OR use the nominal thickness and choose the angle column bigger than 0 degrees. So 60mm effective, and at about 50 meters, the russian gun pens about 65mm, so it goes through (if it doesn't ricochet, random RNG). OR choose 20mm actual thickness, then look at the 60 degree column in the chart: 30mm, again would go through.

@@Narcan885 I mean, there's still russian bias though at low tier. A BT-5 could easily be like a 2.3 tank, or even higher. A Chi Ha Kai is 2.3, right? And way clunkier, slower, not really meaningfully better armor, and JUST got almost the same gun for the first time... Maybe to be charitable, "they didn't want the BT-5 to get scouting" (although there's still the Bt 7 F32 which does, so...)

Why do half of the Csaba's shots just vanish? And why is it at 1.3 while better vehicles are at 1.0? It's a fun vehicle to flank around in, but the gun just seems to be underperforming.

The absolute worst tank you couldve played at low tier is actually the T-60 with its 20mm TNSH cannon, long reload, terrible penetration, and little to no survivability. frontal hull is sorta decent though. but otherwise pretty terrible
