The worst part about Stranger Danger videos is there's no scrutiny in them. It's just "stay away from people you don't know!" How is that gonna allow people to enter the workforce if you're telling them to not talk with anyone? Then again, Barney's "strangers are your friends" deal lacks scrutiny on the literal opposite end of the spectrum. Really, the best handling of strangers would go to the Berenstain Bears, which had Mama Bear explain how there are good apples and bad apples among people.

Unfortunately stranger danger is pretty outdated and can be dangerous. It's obviously helped in some cases, but about 90% of kids actually know their perpetrator. So "stranger danger" is almost useless. It teaches kids to be scared of all strangers, which could include teachers, police officers, librarians, store clerks, etc. I think some psychologists are trying to push "tricky people" now, which isn't as catchy haha. But it's moreso about people who make the kid feel uncomfortable or icky, which can be anyone regardless of if the kid knows them or not.

10:28 Wait! So that kid ran to tell his mom, who was 10 feet away and facing them with nothing to do?!?! And somehow, she didn’t see this?!?! 🤣

for all situations, just use the Bobby Hill method - "THAT'S MY PURSE! I DON'T KNOW YOU!" and kick em in the nuts

It's actually "Call a Scooby-Doo" instead of "Call Scooby-Doo" which is even funnier lol

Remember kids, when a stranger try’s to talk to you. Run away and tell an adult.. which could also be a stranger but they are adults here so it’s ok. Remember do not contact 911,or talk with a police officer, they are strangers to you. And remember what we said. Strangers won’t help you call scooby doo.

"Power Cat" is the third furry we've encountered to teach safety. (For those counting: 9-1-1, Escalators, and now Strangers)

10:14 As tempting as asking for more details or just telling the person NO!, I think "call a Scobby-Doo" is easily the best choice. Not Scooby-Doo, but A Scobby-Doo, whoever or whatever that is. I'm always shocked at how many stranger danger videos popped up during this time frame, I always thought there'd be one "perfect" video that told the kids whet they should be weary of successfully, but it seems a lot of people/companies/communities made their own rough versions to tell the same information (sometimes worse info).

10:48 An Actual person with a lost dog would ask the parent first, then say you kids didn't see anything? and move on to look for the dog... Not form a child search party for her poodle.

you have no idea how happy this video made me. For a while I felt like it was 2017 again and my mom and my cat where still with me. I really enjoy this format. I laughed so hard at the guy repeating his lines like a broken NPC, it was so weird lol.

Not sure if anyone already pointed out - at 14:59 they misspelled "predetermined". That's just sad.

The password thing is actually not a bad idea. As a kid my mom had me make up a password id use with any non family members who pick me up from someplace to make sure im not getting in the wrong car.

End of the world event happens: "Kid, help me! Please!!" "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers" "Kid I'm literally bleeding out here. Your parents are dead, everyone you know is dead or gone, everything is gone! " "HELP! STRANGER DANGER!!!"
