the issue with the bus not showing up is that they count you late or absent and there's nothing you can do about it so that's a penalty on your record. I used to have to deal with the school not sending a bus often and multiple days in a row. We'd be standing out there hours in the cold because we had no idea if it was just otherwise late.
@AliciaGuitar

Bus issues should be automatic excused not to be held against you. We had cows block the road a lot and we got excused absence when that happened. Any school that doesnt use common sense policies should be shut down
@Altoclarinets
@Altoclarinets 10 ай бұрын
@@AliciaGuitarseconded. where I grew up the policy was that if you rode the bus and the bus was late your tardy would be excused because you had no control of the situation (although interestingly, if it was something that would affect everyone like weather or major traffic problems causing the delay, they often didn't excuse students who didn't ride the bus - I guess to encourage more people to ride a vehicle which barely had enough space for the kids that were on it & punish those inside the no-bus-service radius for not wanting to walk or bike in a storm?)
@thetexanhusky

Makes me thankful that the schools I went to were quite graceful. When I started riding the bus from the 2nd semester of 7th grade to 12th grade, my bus ran late a decent amount of times (just short of 10 times in total, from what I can remember). Thankfully, the schools I went to were very forgiving, meaning I won't need to get a tardy due to my bus being late, since they knew that there is nothing that the students can do about it since it's out of their control. I feel bad for some of y'all whose schools weren't so forgiving.

The vip lunch line sounds like an actual nightmare. When I was in high school, I tried to avoid buying lunches at all costs because the lines were so long that you could arrive to your lunch early and still waste most of your lunch period waiting for food. It also seems kinda like punishing kids who are less fortunate. Also every time I see an article or news story about parents being mad about something, I think of your videos lol
@FrenkTheJoy

I never understood why people bought lunch if they didn't have to. The kids at the end of the line would have like 3 minutes to eat. Not to mention how disgusting the food looked and smelled most of the time. I never really understood how it was *cheaper* for some people to buy a school lunch of instead of just bringing one from home, either. And I grew up less fortunate, still managed to come to school with a sandwich. Some days the sandwich was a little peanut butter in a hot dog bun because that was all we had. But at least I had time to eat it!

I was a Junior in Biology and the only girl in a class of 15 or so. The boys kept saying swears/ curses as they chit chat, and the teacher got so mad that she decided to make a list on the whiteboard of words that were "banned". This devolved into the boys just shouting as many weird swears as they could think of as loud as they could. Needless to say, the list never got finished and the teacher took far too long to realize her mistake.

Because it was almost an entirely male class, a male teacher might have had an easier time with the subject, and rather than soliciting words from the class, to take each word one at a time and discussing better choices. I worked my way through college in the office of a trucking company, and I heard the f word used as practically every part of speech. I had an opportunity to talk with one driver who was an intelligent family man, and he admitted that the word becomes meaningless through repetition, and that there are other words that are not quite so offensive that can be used, at least in front of his wife and kids. And to save the f word for something genuinely serious!
@CamdenBloke
@CamdenBloke 10 ай бұрын
There were a couple times in school that I said a curse word not knowing it was a curse word. In 2nd or 3rd grade there was a drinking fountain at the back of the room and only two kids could be there at one time (one drinking and one lined up behind them) and I was waiting for the kid to finish and when they did I went to stand up but another kid did first and rushed in line and I said, "Damn," and sat down. I was rushed out of class and got my first detention for saying that. One of the ultimate consequences is that I discovered I'd preferred detentions, because instead of going to recess outside and then eating lunch in a noisy smelly lunchroom, I could just chill out in the classroom, read books and magazines, and eat lunch in my leisure. I started getting more and more detentions after that.

The bus one is funny to me since i did the Bus drving for a few years. Sometimes, that's easier said than done. Something similar happened to me ONCE AND ONLY ONCE. My Mom was VERY upset one morning after getting home from a late shift at work; the bus NEVER showed up to pick me up that morning. Apparently, one parent thought that her child deserved AN HOUR to get his crap together and hold up the other children on the bus route. My stop was the second to last one. I was upset... My Mom more so. She was running on no sleep and had to bring me to school. @@hanakowolf578 it's kind of sarcasm. Parents aren't privileged to at least when I was working to other kids stops so it's not really a likely scenario. And yeah everyone gets super upset when some kid keeps the bus from being on time, parents are upset, kids are upset, school super upset because students need to be on time or they miss out on morning meetings/breakfast that some kids need. Your situation does suck and I almost bet that that parent who held it up for an hour was on the phone with the district saying how unfair it was that they couldn't accommodate her child.

4:40 You just described the D.A.R.E. Program, adults rolling up with samples of each drug and showcasing the gram/weight, effects, what can happen if too much, how to counteract the drug, all of it. Just getting kids interesting in doing drugs LMFAO. The kids get a chance to ask everything they need to know in a socially acceptable and legal manner before they get to go on the street and find it out for themselves. It was dumb! “If we show them the drug and essentially show it off as a showcase and make it seem deadly and hardcore, they’ll definitely stray from it!”

"What are we going to do next, give kids a sampling of every kind of drug they can get on the streets? As a way to prevent kids doing them?" My middle school did this. They showed pictures, what it's called, what the effects are when you take them; who gives them. Literally everything but the specific person that gives them; as a reason to tell the kids not to do it. I kid you not, about a month later a bunch of kids I knew had drugs; real drugs. The school gave them what they needed to find them; the police was called in nearly every week because of this. The good news is the school is closed because of how they treated the disabled kids. The bad news is, after they made it a community center about 3 years ago they decided to reopen 1/2 of it as a school again. And so the circle of stupidity continues...

I miss this old Chadtropic video, been watching him since 2015, him tackling news stories and giving his insight on things showing how overblown things are, the lack of accountability from parents to cause censorship, and organizations making dumb decisions just for control is what got me into you in the first place. I loved your commentary and adding some actual thought and parody towards whatever wild commercial you watched was exhilarating, but just seeing the cursed commercials just took all the joy out of it with a score without saying much. I always liked this content, always had a message or critique, satirizing folks and pointing out how over the top or ridiculous people or the situation were.

@@SirLightsOut99 it’s been on my mind since like what? 2018 when he first started when I was going into my senior year. And now I’m gonna be 23 next month? It’s been ok, I expected his little puppet guy wraps to have more commentary and them have a back and forth in commentary and opinions, or have the buddy character be either more optimistic and accepting or the opposite ripping them to shreds. I thought it’d be cool but he’s just like “ehhh 9/10” and the formula got old real quick on that one video. I also liked when he just made funny cooking videos or tried out niche products, or just explored a topic he enjoyed out in public like that great wolf lodge video he did recently, I liked it. I’m glad that you enjoy it, I’m not trying to harsh your vibe as you see the enjoyment in it and can probably explain why. To me if he just did this from the start I’d be way more forgiving but the cursed commercial just feels like a watered down/corporate format from what he’s known for. However, even then it’s just boring if he did that, personally speaking. I also suspect Poglings being the main detractor from his primary content so CC is easy to make

@@SirLightsOut99 Last time he posted a classic Chad React all the comments were the same - "wow chad it's not that the cursed commercials are bad, but we all like the old style reaction videos and would be thrilled if you could do more of them while keeping the cursed commercials going." So since everyone already said that like months ago, I'm sure everyone saying it this time will be as successful as last time. I thought Cursed Commercials was fun the first time he did it, but it's lost its charm over time. If I'm gonna watch these disgusting commercials I would like the commentary to be more engaging than "eeuchg! What the frick! That was weird. 8/10."

The better incentive for the VIP pass, is have it tied to doing community service. For every 1 or 2 hours that is completed, you get a free "VIP pass" to skip the line. This wouldn't make anyone feel left out and help children to develop more empathy for the less fortunate.

Funny thing about what you said in 4:39 because I remembered there was an edutainment game like that. It's called Wrecked: A Psychedelic Adventure and you take drugs to power up but when you lose the game, it tells you how much you would have been fined for taking said drugs and how many years in jail you'd go for. It's only a demo because the full game never released for obvious reasons.

There were times you got lunch late when I went and had like 5 to 10 minutes to eat. Getting lunch early actually matters to some schools. A fast pass would piss off kids that got there first. Due to long lines I always wanted to get there first, that way you had more time to mess around.

The one about the school bus is a lot more serious-those children are too young to be left home alone, they definitely shouldn’t be left alone on a busy street. Most kids only wait up to 5 minutes for their bus but having kids that young on that busy of a street for 15+ minutes isn’t safe

My middle school pretty much required you to pay for a bunch of different things. To even attend, you'd need to buy a tie year, along with an agenda. If you wanted to go outside during lunch, you'd have to buy an "ID" and lanyard, and if you didn't wear them you would automatically be discriminated against by certain staff members- including the principal. There's probably some other paywalls I'm forgetting, it's been quite a while. Oh, and thanks to being one of the smartest students, I was able to join a small, elitist-by-design group with a special tie (also had to buy), that... pretty much didn't do anything besides having lunch in the library (which was nice for the lack of noise, but I had other options for that).
