I've had to use Casform a few times now for Nuzlockes and while this may be better for Emerald you would want to replace Sunny Day probably with Thunder. You face a lot of flying and water types in this game so having that Thunder on a Pokemon that can use Rain Dance. In any case having a 120 base power move with 100 percent accuracy and 30 percent chance of paralysis is awesome.

Dustox is worse than Volbeat (which gets Tail Glow and Baton Pass), Delcatty is worse than Linoone, and Spinda is worse than Castform. Also, if you are going with Linoone, which can learn Surf, then replace Pelipper with Tropius as the flyer. Pelipper has decent Defense and SA, but the only good stat on Tropius is HP.

I tried using a sableye in a sapphire playthrough and it was easily the worst Pokémon on that team. I thought the no weakness to anything was nice but it dies to everything with that 50 base hp, 75 defense and 65 sp defense to go along with a 50 base speed. The attack stats aren’t better either. Atleast it has a decent move pool to play with.

AnyThingWorx Archived Maybe I am wrong but I also remember Masquerain not being great. Especially in terms of moves. I don't remember its stats. Also, even as a child I always tended to grind and level up my Pokémons. Taking time between each gym. So I've never really been that concerned if some Pokémon were terrible. Especially when I didn't really know if they were in the first place haha. As a kid I was giving them the best moves they could learn by leveling up (I felt that TM were like cheating haha) and training them enough to do the game comfortably haha. I know not everyone does that and it's no indication that a Pokémon is good competitively. That being said I remember really enjoying my Altaria, my Pelipper, my Pulse (which for ages I was hoping or thinking it was gonna evolve lol), my magcargo (which I adored haha) and my crawdaunt. Anyway. I don't take those videos too seriously (also it is clear Mystic is not super able to put aside some of his preferences and biases most of the time I feel haha). It's just a game. Like many if not most people I play with the Pokémons I prefer look wise or because of sentimental value, or depending on the mood (I loved doing the elite 4 with a team of just one type of Pokémon). And as I tended to over level I was thinking they were all great even the ones that were technically not that good. Haha. Anyway. Went on a tangent there lol. I just have a tendency to like Pokémons who seem to end up being shitty or not super popular. What can I say I am a sucker for an underdog haha thinking of myself as if I were in the anime and making a Pokémon reveal its true potential. God I miss being ten haha

I've actually had quite some success with Castform on a couple of playthroughs of Hoenn, but I use a different moveset based solely around rain dance. I use weather ball (obviously) as main stab move, with thunder (dept store tm on the 4th floor) and ice beam as coverage moves. Works better that way, because you also have the option of immediate damage output instead of being stuck with the 50 base power of weather ball without weather conditions. I also feel that replacing secret power with tail glow on Volbeat would be an improvement due to the fact that normal attacks don't provide additional super effective coverage as opposed to grass and electric, and even a single tail glow makes those moves hit just that much harder.

with 3 Linoones & 3 Pelippers I won the Elite 4. Each one of them like a "elemental slave" (cover team), two for HM slaves, and the last two with normal TMs. Linoone, with Silk Skarf item, became a great surprise to me. And my best Pelipper beat all gyms in the game (the most difficult was the Electrical gym, shure). Was a nice experience. And pickup ability is a plus in this team.

idk about a third move but Castform with weather ball, rain dance and thunder is pretty awesome. Stab with weather ball and then 100% accureacy with thunder. I used castform when I was trying to beat the game really fast with blazekin. Castforms other move in that was sunny day. So the weather was chosen based on the team I was fighting but very effective.

I’m not 100 percent sure but wouldn’t delcatty be worse than linoone. Although it could get normalize to get stab it loses all type coverage. It’s stats r 40 lower than linoones and it’s highest stat is 70 hp and speed which sucks. It also evolves later requiring a moon stone at meteor falls. Lastly if it wants okay moves you have to prevent it from evolving.

ZeekLTK tropius is a worse flier yes but uh tailow better alteria is better and this is hoeen you’ve got a whole bunch of excellent waters to chose from like lanturn which obliterates pelicans both it’s stabs use the right stat unlike the toilet which has one physical stab and one special stab ( it’s a special attacker so it honestly shouldn’t even carry a flying stab) walrein which is extremely bulky tentacruel is honestly better clampearl’s evolutions both better. It’s towards the bottom of water types

I say not to Give Linoone Belly drum. Because it doesn't have good bulk to make up for that HP that was taken out. Iron tail in the other hand has Miserable accuracy and Return does not have a fixed power. If you lose matches, you lose happiness and become Weaker. Try out this Moveset for Linoone-: - Strength , Good accuracy, Fixed Power - Shadow Ball, Best coverage Move - Dig, Good Accuracy Coverage move - Tail Whip, I bet you would love using Tail Whip cause of Linoones Low base Attack. Edit: Well but why will U give Macargo Earthquake? It's a very bad move on Macargo imao. Give it Amnesia instead. So you can toxic stall easier

Good video mostly. I heavily disagree with linoone and pelipper. Linoone gets stab headbutt extremely early and it even gets mud sport for wattson. Linoone also sweeps the elite 4 entirely. As for peilipper, it is one of the best Pokémon in the game. It water guns the first gym, wing attacks the second gym, water guns the fourth gym, uses protect strats on the slaking in the fifth gym, shock waves and ice beams the 6th gym, surfs the seventh gym, and shock waves the final gym. It then shock waves glacia’s walrein, ice beams drakes dragons, and shock waves Wallace’s water types.

Tbh I love these worst teams. I'm doing a playthrough with the crystal one and it's been by far one of the best pokemon playthroughs I've done in a very long time. Getting to use pokemon that I never even thought to consider adding to my team for the purpose of using it has been so much fun. Keep up the good work Mystic! Cant wait for the next one.

I played a game with a modest nature Castform and it wasn't awful. I set it up with a charcoal for massive power on its Fire Weather ball, and its other moves were Sunny Day, Solarbeam, and Hail to give Weather ball coverage. All in all, not a horrible Pokemon for a casual play through. Also, you forgot about the fact you can get TM Return early if you bring the meteor back to Cosmo at Fallarbor town after Mt. Chimney.
