Well I went with the Dark Midnight Silver color and Black interior seats for my Tesla Model Y Long Range vehicle. I like the Silver type colors and it is now standard no added cost to the vehicle. I feel it is better than the Blue and Red simply because you have to spend 2000 dollars or more just to get these two colors. My current ICE Mote Carlo is silver and I wanted something similar with the Tesla vehicle. I agree with you black and white colors are the worst to keep looking clean. Its totally subjective what color looks best to people. I personally would never drive a red car even if it was a free option. I like the black the most but with black wheels and dark tint just too much black so I went with midnight silver metallic with 21 inch black rims dark tint and white interior and looks amazing IMO

So I've seen different videos of yours as I was choosing the color for myself. I wasn't a fan of the black in photos and videos or even when I see one drive by but when I went to test drive a Tesla it was black and looked beautiful up close. White is nice but I live in Canada and it didn't look too appealing in the snow. While I thought red was cool and was close to getting red i noticed in some lighting it wasn't to my liking. Same goes with blue. Sometimes the blue looks good and sometimes it's not for me. I chose the Midnight Silver. While it being the new base color was a bonus. I personally feel that color looked the best in every lighting and angle. It's not as flashy as the red which I was close to getting. But long term I can't get sick of Midnight Silver. Red you never know.

Midnight sliver is very low key. It’s something special about an understated color. I don’t think you can go wrong with any color! I hope you enjoy your new vehicle and color choice!

Oh no, John is shopping a Y! Got the Y bug? I really wish Tesla offered more colors and special trims etc. The color choices aren't very good. I see that other "red" and the silver in Europe. I wish they would do something to dress these cars up. I know Highland is coming soon to update the 3. Juniper is coming next year to update the Y. Tesla could learn from the legacy OEM's about special editions, limited trims and paints.

I would really love to see that European silver in the USA. That would be a game changer for me! I hear you but I think special editions and limited trims would slow down production. They could drop the white color at this point for silver and replace the existing red with the European red and call it a day.

Great video. i like your methodology. That said, Tesla offers some of the worst paint finishes. Every other EV maker offers higher quality paint finishes. When the Chevy Bolt is offered in better paint choices, its time to call Tesla out on it. Thats said, the new Red and Quicksilver are a huge step up from the basic 5.

Red goes fastest, blue is luckiest, yellow is wealthiest, white is fearless, purple is stealthiest, and green is the bestest. from the Orcs in Warhammer 40K They don't have black, silver, or gray as far as I know.
