Surratt shadows are so smooth and so beautiful..the closest I can find in texture are the Suqqu shadows I’ve purchased, which are also very silken and lovely on the lids...

Wondering how it compares with Serge Lutens quads? Serge is still pricier but his formula is so smooth and beautiful! You should review a palette of his, you might like the gold one best. I have the brown and the purple one, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea because the formula is so thin but it sounds like your description of this Surratt one.

If you have wrinkly lids, Surratt shadows are worth it. It's not quite a lid lift - but it does look like you've had a little "something" done around your eyes. For anyone else - way too expensive.

You know that last my opening line “mature crepe wrinkly skin” and I have the Surratt concealer / powder palette- And I’ve said over and over and over and every social media thing possible everybody copies everybody so it was no surprise when Mario came out with his concealer palette that it was a dead ringer copy of the Surrott style! It just goes to show you it doesn’t matter who you are does matter how big or how small you are everybody copies everybody!

I never thought I would either, but I finally caved and bought the Beyond Beige palette not too long ago, and it immediately became my go-to palette. The quality is unlike anything else. But I absolutely fit with what Mel was talking about. I rarely use my ND and PM palettes because I rarely have a need for that much color or pigmentation. I like a more understated, sophisticated eye look and have more mature skin that I have to consider. So, for me, while $100 for a quad absolutely sounds absurd, it feels less crazy when I consider that I have stopped purchasing ND and PM palettes because I really don’t need more than a few amazing, relatively neutral shadows in addition to the palettes I already own. But if a neutral eye is not your go-to look (yep, I’m a basic a$$ gal), I can totally understand why you would not pay this much for a quad!

In Canadian dollars this pallet is $135! Even Suqqu another Japanese brand is not this expensive. It’s ridiculous. I believe you get what you pay for; but I question this as it’s available in the USA where Suqqu I have to order from overseas. Would I love to try this absolutely! There's no way I'm spending 100$ for 4 neutral eyeshadow shades. The formula might be great, but you can get the same look for a third of the price. However, if it's your gig and it makes you happy, go for it! I totally understand wanting a luxury product to keep on your vanity and feel fancy about. It's just that for me those are usually lipsticks, not nude eyeshadows.
