I also have one using the jawbone casting rod 2021 I think and it’s extremely good for only being 20 bucks at dicks. I’ve caught my pb which is a 7 pounder on that rod and reel and quite a few other bass that were 3,4,5 and even 6 pounds on them!

I planted my DC in a similar muddy bank. It was grinding terribly. When I got home, I took all the line off and removed the spool. With an air compressor, I blew out the bearings and put 3 drops of T9 oil. Then I put the spool back in and held the reel so the spool was vertical and sent 125 lbs of air into the spool, and it was spinning fast. I removed the spool and used a qtip to wipe the grungd from the bearing. I did the same on the other bearing. I did it twice, and now my reel is back to its original state. There's no need to take the whole real apart since it's sealed very well from the factory. My reel was less than 4 hours old when this happened. Happy fishing!

I caught an 11lb largemouth on a spiderman push button kiddie pole. My little brother thought he was snagged in some lillypads and was hooked on a monster largemouth that ate a bluegill he caught. I was trying to unsnag him when i realized I was fighting a beast on a kiddie pole with 4lb line. It's nice to have an expensive set up, but you can can anything with the basics.

I do not do high priced equipment, at least not yet. I have a two 6 ft. Medium Durango rods from Walmart one in that reddish/orange color, and one in the dark blue. They work fine for what I am fishing for at present. I am also waiting to find out how my $30 Temu bait caster that is a Daiwa knock-off, or uses some Daiwa parts, performs. I am getting another inexpensive rod to use with it which is coming in the mail in a few days.

Try fishing with steel rod from the 40’s and pflueger bait casting knuckle buster with black Dacron line 1/4 oz weight with a worm. Fished this lake 60 years ago this way and caught fish.

There needs to be more reviews on the black series rod it seems like there is lots of QC issues from them especially being so expensive I got 3 black series rods was super excited now I’m nervous I really wish googan would do a better review on them but I rarely see any of the guys actually use the black series is it because there is issues with the rods????
