The battery life on this phone is incredible, first phone I've ever gotten over 9 hours SOT. Even on days using primarily the inner screen with 3 full screen apps open I'm always getting 8+

Uhm... You have to be inflating these numbers significantly... Unless you're using the device for 8-9hrs straight without putting it down, these numbers don't make sense. I've had it since launch and the SOT is solid, but not incredible. What you're saying would be close to the best SOT of any phone available, which isn't possible considering it has 2 large screens and a 4800mah battery. Even the S23 Ultra nor the iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn't get the SOT time you're quoting. With normal use, say over a 14hr day, people can expect to get 6-7hrs SOT.

@@Markus56165 I'm not... I have multiple screenshots of 8-9 hours SoT. Maybe we're using different apps then. All I use is KZbin, Reddit, Kindle, Microsoft Teams, Google messages, nothing battery intensive.

I also have this phone and the amount of negativity this device gets from People commenting on youtube is unreal! Imo its fantastic in all ways. If wireless charging is a deal-breaker for you dont but this personally i dont care for wireless charging as i never use it except to charge my Samsung watch. this device replaced my inferior fold 4. Great decision to switch. Great vid keep up the op open content 👍

this phone deff has flex mode. ive used it a few times while watching videos. was hoping youd talk more about the top and bottom split screen how you cant use 2 apps at the same time for example watching a video on the top and scrolling on another app on the bottom. it just switches to w.e app you touch

I'm still on the fence between this one and the Fold 5, mainly since I already have multiple Samsung devices - so I'm really used to the software. One thing that I really like about Samsung, is it's 'Routines' feature. Does the OnePlus Open have something similar?

Not really. It's a great device but it's not a Samsung. I have both it and the Zfold 5 and personally if I had to choose one of them I would keep the Zfold

I have the OnePlus open and there's a lot with the phone that I dislike and ultimately regret my decision. OxygenOS is horrible, you can only arrange apps in a row of 4, yes you can use launchers but they are sooo horrible and don't work with the phone well. You don't have media controls for music like you do on pixel or Samsung in the lock screen meaning you can't skip the song to a specific time while in the lock screen or using a widget, you have to drag the top panel and hold the Spotify or whatever music app you use to bring it up, and the most important part, THERES NO PHONE CASES, unless you want cheap eBay cases that bulk up the phone, the camera bump will also get on your nerves. I'd get the Fold 5 if I were you.

To be honest. I more likely go for Open. Because I feel more comfortable with it over samsung. That kind of things about software will fixed all within a few months. The main things is I really love all the design and features of Open. ❤

This much later with the introduction of the Oneplus the 12th of May (sorry.... 😂😂....there is actually another video that calls it that), I will say that I'd go with the Oneplus Open before the 12th. traded my s23 Ultra on the One Plus Open. I loved it until I didn't. I was watching a video in the kitchen. I closed the phone and walked to my living room. I opened the phone and it had lines all over it. I called One Plus and shipped it in for repairs. They received it 1-19-2024 as of today 2-9-2024 I haven't heard from them. I emailed and chatted and they keep saying someone will get in touch with me. Like I said the phone is great until it isn't. They're warranty and repair is horrible. They're communication for repairs is beyond horrible.

Was on the fence about this phone for MONTHS and even chose the pixel fold over this phone. One month in with the pixel, im already regretting that decision and this video sold me on the open. Well time to return my pixel. Not saying the pixel was bad, because it really wasnt, but the software unironically (when google legit makes the damn android software) kept glitching out and i was constantly restarting the phone to the point im just sick of it now. Best buy just had it on sale for $999 I had to cop it! *Update* got the phone and loved it I buy like 8 phones a year and this and the pixel 8 pro are my favorite android phone this year! But my OnePlus open did have a screen issue (pink line down the center) I had to exchange it and get it today! I want a 1tb edition next go around and the pen I can't find nowhere to be included! Great phone hopefully this doesn't have the same screen issue.

Loving my Pixel Fold, which replaced the narrow front display on my Fold 4 that drove me mad. Google gave us something different, and it works for me. But OnePlus's design is where the market is heading, and Samsung and Google may move to that design in 2024.

I have had a one plus open for 6 weeks now and there's no issues with the cameras as they're fantastic?? Display is 2k so no problem there and durability??? It's only been out since Oct so that remains to be seen ?? So what a load of nonsense 😂
