Just picked up my F250 2024 Lariat Ultimate, my 3rd Super Duty, it's the best driving and the most powerful truck I've ever owned.

Same, only mine's a 350. It's actually crazy how well it drives/rides for how massive and powerful it is. I thought I'd be taking a HUGE downgrade in ride quality/driveability going from a Ram 1500 to this but it's really not that big of a difference. Lot of high tech engineering went into making these behemoths this comfortable and that's a lot of where the big ass price tag is coming from.

I’m on my 5th Super Duty.Ive had 2012,2016,2017,2021 and now a 2024.The 24 is by far my favorite.Rides great has plenty of power and the interior is amazing.I have a Lariat Ultimate with every option except sunroof,just the way I wanted it.

I personally like both trucks, I can’t afford either one but I think the reasons some people may hang on or buy a used 2020-22 super duty is from a value standpoint. The people who own it already may see no need in upgrading as it’s already enough for them and people may buy it used to save a lot more money especially if they can get it with a good interest rate. And If I had to pick I’d go for a older good condition used super duty.
@americandream_899 ай бұрын
I understand that. Buying a good used one is smart and loses less value.

In my opinion the 2022 lariat black appearance is a better looking truck , came with a nice LED projector headlights, personally the 2024 front end I don’t like , also led proyector headlights only came in the platinum package 24 models 🤷🏻♂️.

Good looking ride man. Still a sucker foe the 20-22 front end. Only thing about the new interior I'm not a fan of is the full digital cluster. Maby it's my age but I like the analog as well. Thought the 20-22 made a good combo with digital/analog combo. Also can't believe the price jump. Same truck almost 8-10k more now.
@americandream_899 ай бұрын
You’re not the only one I’ve seen a ton of people say this. The prices have went way up for sure, but they do offer a much nicer feature set on 23 and above as in pro power on board, nicer interior, more power etc. my 2020 King Ranch was 85,000 sticker a similar one is about 90. To me, it’s worth the pricing increase, but I know that subjective and fully understand. The price of trucks are crazy.

Personally the manual mode was a great upgrade on 2023+. 1st it allows you in automatic mode set a “do not shift above gear”. Say your heavy and you don’t want to haul in 10th you can push it down to 9 and will stay in 1-9 range. Now let’s say your driving around in 7th and you want to down shift but tranny is set at 10. You have to push down 4 times to get to 6th gear. You push manual mode it takes you down a gear automatically then you can go to 5th and 4th if needed. You get more options on how you want to operate your transmission. Towing a heavy gooseneck a lot I love the new change.

The type of driving matters a lot with fuel economy. I’ve seen where I’ll get 18mpg in my old truck on the highway, and in the city driving from site to site, I’ll get 9.5mpg Same with tire pressure, windows up or down, cruise control or not. Lots of things

Do you recommend the factory spray bedliner or do aftermarket? There's been reported peeling problems with the Ford spray liner and it is thinner than aftermarket. Can't say if that's true or not.
@americandream_899 ай бұрын
Honestly, I think for the money you couldn’t beat the factory liner. I absolutely love it. I use mine about as hard-core. as anyone could and have had zero issues. And it’s in the factory Ford warranty.
@gangsta45ism9 ай бұрын
Hopefully, they fixed the death wobble issue. I traded my 2019 F250 and still like the look of it but that was a major flaw for me. Why should I have to fix the issue by spending more mo ey when I spent big money for the platinum version. I'm not knocking the truck but just telling the truth.
@americandream_899 ай бұрын
I’ve seen many Ford owners with this issue on the forums. I’ve owned three of these trucks and never had that issue so it’s not something I’ve dealt with personally. But from my understanding, the cause is usually from a loose part or bolt in the front end, letting something slightly shift

You mentioned you can't get LED projector headlights in the 2024 and yet, you did! How did that work??!!!
@americandream_899 ай бұрын
Mines a platinum they are standard. King ranch and down have reflector LED bulbs. the 2020 on the right side of the video has projectors also but they were standard on the king ranch that year
@LWRC9 ай бұрын
@@americandream_89 Thanks for the reply. For as much as Ford charges, the LED projectors should be standard. Not sure how long you will keep the 2022 but it would be interesting to see a headlight beam comparison of the light pattern projected on to a flat wall at 20ft. between the two trucks. Theoretically, they should be the same!

Body style for me on the new ones are worse. I have a 2021 and I bought it because I saw the pictures of the 2023s coming out. Interior yeah I agree the 2023+. But that exterior its rounded off and those tail lights are goofy they stick out a mile and all the side bed steps just scream for kids to climb up on thats the biggest reason I stayed away. The fronts of the 2023+ are rounded and the rears with those tail lights are squared off and stick out too far the truck doesnt flow im sure they will fix it in the future like a 17 too a 22
