When everyone threw away their cheap sponge tip applicators from our old covergirl shadows, now the name brands are bringing them back lol. I know they’re useless for blending, but they do work well for true-to-color lid applications, then blend with a brush. They should make one that’s larger and a more rubbery material.
@luna.376 жыл бұрын
They're better, though! Old sponge tips/current cheap ones tend to have large "pores" - hold too much product, can be abrasive. Newer ones I've seen are denser, more like a Beauty Blender, for example - which gives it a slightly rubbery, fingertip texture. Then the silicone end picks up the speckles (in this palette) and glitters, etc. In fact, I've seen them marketed as "glitter applicators" - Sephora has/had a set of two labeled as such, if I recall correctly. I've seen luxury brands with tiny applicators and it seems to be that dense sponge on one end, and a brush on the other (Tom Ford is one that comes to mind). For what TF charges, they'd better be THE BEST small palette applicators possible, LOL.
@KLeeLee4 жыл бұрын
What if you wet it like a beauty blender, then picked up the shadow, would it apply the color better that way?
@abbyjane97116 жыл бұрын
For $12, nyx has a double ended silicone shadow applicator that is way better than that one!! One side is huge and would allow you to do the whole lid. The other side is a lot like that one, better for more detail/inner corner work!!! SAVE THAT COIN

Kristi you are pronouncing it correctly!!!! La Croix is made in good old La Crosse Wisconsin, which is a town on the St Croix River. What's La Croix like? ...."Did someone just spray Bath and Body Works two miles away?" Yep, that's what it's like😂😂😂

I am obsessed with this palette. my boyfriend took me to sephora for christmas and bought me this. I would never ever be able to afford it otherwise ($70 after tax is absolutely outrageous). I couldn't make a more perfect eyeshadow palette if I tried, and the formula is amazing. also, I literally never noticed the whole nude correlation with the shade names until just now lol

Okay soooooooo.. I am absolutely shook/living for this palette! I had no clue they made this until I saw your video. I literally have to catch my breath every time you hold it up!! Ughhhhh 😩 I want this palette sooo freaking bad lol these shades are exactly what I would pick if I made a palette myself with the exception of two, just like you said. Maybe put another matte warm tone mauvey color and like a deep coral color for more of a transition selection because I don’t know about everyone else but I love all my matte transitional colors especially any and all mauve tones!! 💜🌸🔮🎀💖🦄🌺🍑🍆 I love you kristi! This look was absolutely stunning!!!!!!😘

SO lovely of Huda to name one of her shadows after you!!... 😁😂🤣💜💜💜 Would a silicone nail art pigment tool work the same way as that applicator? 🤔

NYX has the same tool! Except it’s that rubbery texture on both sides. And the plus side......one side is bigger and the other is more precise. Also, is that ‘Somebody’ sssssamantha correcting your lacroix ?! LOL 😂

DaniKStylez so happy you said this I've been looking for a tool like it didn't wanna spend 20$ on a brush lol

Elf has 2 or 3 precise silicone applicators for $3 each too.

What is the name of the brush called?

The sponge part of the tool is mainly used for "glitters" and the silicone side works best with her soft metallics!!!

Thank you for sharing pieces of yourself with us. You are so wonderful and give those of us who have tough situations in our environments such a nice escape, even if for only 20 minutes.

O.M.G! I haven't been here in ages. I missed you so much Kristi, it's been a pleasure 💖 I don't particularly like Huda, but damn, this palette is so calling my name. I haven't gotten any of her palettes, wasn't feeling the vibe - but - this one is everything 😍 I really want to get it, I have my 25th birthday next week so I shall treat myself. Of course, if it's back in stock by then! Love you girly xxx
