We are retired AF. I realize how busy you guys are and am very impressed how you emphasized one day is not enough. We spent 20 years trying to get stationed at Wright Patterson and it never happened. When we went full time in 2019 we stayed a week at the FamCamp on base and spent 1 day at each hanger. Thank you for your time.

I went to the Air Force Museum around 4 years ago. I can't wait to go back and finish what I missed the first time. Another great museum north on I-75 in Wapakoneta OH is the Neil Armstrong Museum. Speaking of museums, my wife and I stopped at the RV Museum in Elkhart last weekend. Everyone looking at "The Bird" was told by my wife how everyone should watch KYD every Sunday and that we have been watching for several years now.

That was exciting to see the XB70. My Dad was in aerospace his entire career and he worked on the XB70. Once it was made public, we got to go to the rollout. It was so impressive - even to a little kid. Pretty cool to have pictures of our family standing beneath it.

I haven't been to the AF museum there since 1970 when I was a kid, but now that we are RV'ing we do hope to go there soon. I actually saw an XB-70 fly at the only airshow that it was available for public viewing. Carswell AFB in 1966 (I was 8). My parents worked at adjacent General Dynamics building military aircraft. I also saw the remaining XB-70 at the museum at Wright-Paterson AFB around 1970. It sat outside back then. If you get to the Quantico, VA area, do not miss the Marine Museum. It's more about history, but also very impressive. And free as well.

Awesome video! Went there in August of last year. So much to see. A lot of history. My husband and I are Army veterans and two of our grandkids are now members of the Air force. The museum brought bk memories for me. My dad’s name is on an obelisk there. Fabulous museum, absolutely, informative, comprehensive, walk ability, RV friendly. Like Charlie, We had our 2 pups waiting for our return as well!

Oh my gosh we went here in October. Haven’t put our video together yet. Can’t believe it’s only 4 hours from our home base. It’s an amazing amazing place. What struck me most was when the maintenance man cleaning JFK’s Air Force One said to me “This is the plane that took Kennedy to Dallas. And this is the plane that brought him back.” I wasn’t alive in 1963 but WHAT THE HECK! We just walked through that!!!!!

Awesome that you did a video on the AF museum. Fun fact, aircraft 26000 is the one that carried President Kennedy’s body back from Dallas Love Field. They never fixed the bulkhead at the back that was cut out where the casket had to turn the corner. Not sure if anyone pointed that out to you while you were there.

We live in the Dayton area. We were just at the Air Force museum a few days ago. We missed you. The Air Force Museum is our number one place to take all of our visitors to our area. We have been there so many times, and we have yet to see everything.

I photographed the Connie when it was rescued from the Arizona Desert. They landed in Mount Pleasant Tx stayed overnight by Mid America Museum, did some repairs and flew her out the next day. It was an epic thing to see it flown in, landed, meet Karl Stoltzfus of Dynamic who was transporting and restoring this amazing piece of history.

We went years ago. Fantastic. Loved the B-36, 4 burning and 6 churning. I think the only B-36 with the giant single rear wheels, but it put so much pressure on the flight line that they could only land a couple of places

I grew up in Ohio & grew up going to Wright Patterson Museum or Wright Pat as we call it. A lot of really cool planes & other vehicles there. My favorites were the experimental planes they decommission and put in one of the hangers. My father use to have top level civilian clearance and we were able to see planes in the “working hangers” that no one else could see. Just an awesome way to spend a day or two…extremely fun & educational place.

Watching from Juneau, Alaska this week! We actually got to ride in a BlueBird for a to and from trip in Haines, Alaska to the Bald Eagle preserve! It was awesome! they had 4 BlueBirds still in service and running great! BTW, love the Dayton AFB Museum! I lived in the flight line and served i=on the Dayton Fire Department for a decade thru the 90s. Awesome times! Love you guys, great content and so much learning!

So, you have discovered one of the MANY peculiarities about becoming 'officially' Florida residents with the motor vehicles division..When we moved to Florida in 2019, I thought 'oh how hard could it be getting new tags for the vehicles?' Yeah, had to bring EACH one in for that bloody VIN check, come on it's on the paperwork, but, I suppose there could be some shysters that could get around the 'system'??? And transferring my drivers license? PITA as well, mainly because of that silly CDL and Hazmat stuff, but, still it was a pain... So, with all that said, welcome to Florida residency!!! :)

What an incredible US Air Force Museum! I would probably be like Trish, reading all the information plaques. And my friends and family would probably be like: “Can we go on please???” or “Come on!!, we want go to next exhibition”. The same I do in the zoo or aquarium. I read information about the animals and fishes. Like everyone else (around the world) you must really be feeling the gas or diesel fuel prices going up with all miles or kilometers you rack up. How do you countermeasure the spending on fuels? You save on other things like grocery shopping, by buying less expensive alternatives, or don’t see as many sightseeing that cost entrance or drive in a shower pace to conserve fuel?

WIth your son planning to join the Marine Corps, you should also plan on visiting the National Museum of the Marine Corps near Quantico, Virginia. It is free and has bus/RV parking. On display is a Boeing P-12 biplane that I worked on as a kid before it was donated to them. I was there when I was 7 years old and the last time was 1987!

Our airstream had the same issue but for a drawer catch, the wood was unfortunately stripped for the screw. I used a little wood glue and put the screw back in - haven’t had an issue since!

Picked up my first trailer on Saturday. Can't get it up my driveway right now because of lack of experience and high flow of traffic on my road. Had to park it at a relatives place for now. Until I get more experience or find a place to store it, can't keep it at my relatives for very long. Have to back up the unit can't pull straight in not enough yard space to turn it around.

I got to go inside the B36 last summer it was AMAZING. wright pat is wonderful. The smithsonian might have the "famous planes" but wright patt has the amount of planes. Also its not air force one unless the president is actually onboard it. A former air force one yes. Also you can see the marks from where kenedies coffin scrapped when they loaded him onboard.

You should have had your son trip three times going up the stairs lets go, Brandon. Mark, I told you that I got the Equilizer Hitch 16000,00 lbs hitch for my Keystone 32QBS this thing is outstanding. I run 75- 80 and nothing bothers me trucks high winds nothing just love it. I thought you gave up the disposable gloves. I never get any help backing up but I am also an ex-20-year Professional and I do mean Professional truck driver. I know ST- Pete really well. I was also a construction estimator for 20 years. Are you buying one of those old Firecracker houses?

Absolutely love your videos! Our "plan" when we retire in seven years is to make Florida our domicile state and full time in our pusher. Fortunately we have friends in Ormond beach too "help" with that process.. Lol. Currently still living and working on three Outer Banks of NC but always go to the KOA in St Augustine in December for a week or two. Be safe and enjoy!

I use wood glue and a golf tee to fill in the holes for those worn out screw holes. But you have to let it sit over night for the glue to cure.
