its simply put a cleanup tank, and if done well can get away with charging on campers, turretless tds slow turreted vehicles, it in my opinion is a great addition to the game, the low view range balances it out, give it high view range itll be OP as hell

I think the point of this thing is to stay as alive and annoying as it possibly can until endgame where it, like other alive and annoying autoloaders, can bomb around, polish off the campers and all the vehicles that have bled too much, and make their best impact. Anything you do too obnoxiously and early is going to be a calculated risk. This vehicle isn't going to replace light tanks, and it shouldn't. If I were to make any changes to it, I would address the view range. It's a little silly that you can get this thing so close to the enemy and not spot them, but at the same time I don't think it should compete with tanks that can boost to tens or a hundred meters beyond the spotting range circle. To this effect, I would propose giving these vehicles a secondary spotting range circle. This will have a maximum view range of perhaps a quarter (or less) of the normal view range, but within this circle you will have an increased spotting power to burn through enemy concealment and camouflage without having to get within proxy distance. I think this would help encourage drivers of this vehicle to drive around like a maniac as intended and not camp in bushes and hide like I suspect most people will. Either that or improve view range to where you can at least get it close to max, or top it off without much else to spare.

The EBR Vehicle was never intended for WOT situations, This machine was built for use in at best Regional conflicts, Brushfire wars where there are no actual Tanks to speak of. This is for engaging Infantry, trucks and occasional small artillery in the open, and light weight fights with other AFV's . To place such a vehicle as this among actual Tanks, is just a waste of everyone's time. The EBR should be limited to games with other AFV's, and very light Tanks.

That's hardly unique though; many tanks in the game were never intended for WOT situations; in WW2 the British and Americans designed tanks to fight infantry and bunkers and TDs for killing enemy tanks (hence the name), the Germans also had this idea for the majority of their early tank designs (up until Operation Barbarossa when they realised they had nothing to deal the KV-1) and most medium/MBTs in the game had armour that was calibrated by it's effectiveness against infantry and light anti-tank weapons, with little expectation of withstanding direct hits from enemy tanks due to the faster innovation of ammo types compared to armour (up until the development of composite and reactive armours to defeat HEAT and kinetic warheads - which would only be vaguely applicable to the American T95, tier 10 M60 Patton and the Russian T-64).

Claus, I think you nailed it this time. Best no-BS review. The EBR has great potential but demands a very high skill level of both the crew (QB put Simon [Santa] Claus in as his commander) and the player. Otherwise, you just crash and burn. You're also correct in the statement that the EBR is so new that the opposing team does not yet know how to counter it. With experience, teams will learn they have to dedicate fast light tanks to defending the arty, as long as your EBR is alive.

So, to summarise, it looks like great fun to play. The speed and 'turbo' start facilities mean it can get places very few other lights can and will quickly relocate and surprise the enemy. It also has great gun accuracy when moving. BUT It has poor view range and cooking foil armour, once you're spotted anything will be able to pen you, provided they can hit your fast moving tank. The poor view range is a deliberate 'balancing' mechanism to stop the Panhard being totally OP (it's not Russian you know :-) ).

Sorry my dude but you'r wrong. ELC AMX got a normal Vr for is tier : 360 base. He also got, with a good crew, but w/o food & venti : 43.3 camo rating. That a insane ratio cmao/vr for his tier. I've play this little boy before his nerf and I still play it. It's one of the best scout in the game, but not the easiest. In other hand, the ERB line are not scout at all. Crap camo, crap VR, no armor, decent gun but terrible dpm, they've nothing. They gonna be fun for ppl who just want yolo around, but that all. But I agree on the second part for this "tank" : sit in bush like all useless red line camper and hope for some occasion to do something before your team get stomp.

I have one of those EBR's, you're going to need a french radio guy(who ever heard of a French radio guy). Food for every game two repair kits that you will use. That's 43k credits per game. A light tank crew with full repairs is a must. My Captain losses his situational awareness and call for vengeance with the radio guy in the tank(EBR). The skill to drive this wheeled vehicle is very high it is not just WASD to do a turn at full speed you have to hold the D button and let off the W button during the turn then hit the W button and let off the D button to stop the turn and continue at full speed. then there is the X button witch lifts and drops your center steel wheels. when you get a flat tier(pssssssssssst) you go from 80kph to 25kph and you die(eggshell armor). repair kits 23K credits Food 20K. ask questions in game @ BluesTraveler NA server

Most WoT players are muppets (just look at the statistics), and most light players die within the first two minutes of a match. So what. Light tanks start to shine in the late game, when few tanks are left on both sides, or when your team has gained the upper hand. Until then, it's always a survival game when you're in a light tank. And please, how many spectacular games does Joe Average have in any tank, regardless how good it is, in WoT? I think 5 out of 40 would already be a very optimistic assumption. Bottom line: Suck in Wot = suck in this tank as much as in any other, be good in WoT = be good in this tank like in any other. Btw, I have seen players with way below average stats that have two marked certain tanks they play a very lot. I remember a Strv S1 player, and the Strv S1 is not the easiest tank to play, you really need to know what positions to pick and when to relocate. So I can imagine players who are generally bad at WoT and who are focussing on playing this tank becoming quite good at it. Not claiming this makes this tank better or easier to play than you say it is, just saying. Right now I believe WG has over nerfed this tank out of fear it might be too strong. It should at least have good view range, like any other scout. And dude, you are not a Unicum, but with 2100 something recent WN8, you are a waaaayyyy above average player. So don't pretend you're "one of us, the average cannon fodder WoT player". ;P

In all the games I've played in this tank so far, I agree Claus. This is a super fun tank that can be good. But it depends on the other team being muppets. I find that I get yoloed in at least 75% of the games I play. People want to see it and they want to kill it. The tank is great on large maps where you can try to single a tank out, but on small maps it's terrible. It's really good at city play because the reverse speed and maneuverability

Its a novelty tank like the E25 and the Backchat .... different style, but all have a high skill threshold and worse stats than most players are made to believe. I think the good way to value the tank is to answer the question: what is the chance to win the battle if this is the last tank in the team at the end of the battle left, what are chances the battle is won? I think if this is the last tank in 1:1 scenario against average enemy tank of the same tier the battle is over and lost, not mentioning 1 vs 3 etc. This tank wont carry anything. For an example, if there is a defender in scenario 1:3.. it can still do the job and win the battle, the same with elc even90 etc.. this one seems to be frustrating crap buzzing around as long everyone else is engaged in fight. Of course, might be fun to play if the battle goes well but grinding crew with this thing might be super painful. Btw. thanks Claus for your nobullshit opinion. If I wont stop playing this game before that tank is released, might buy it .. but just bought BF5 which costed me less (50% discount) to what I have spend on stupid christmas loot boxes this year.. didnt get anything interesting thou, just some gold and useless premium time and some christmas decorations which gives me bonuses .. crap.. those are pretty nice when you have them all and adds a lot when combined with other bonuses :). Hopefully it might attract the PZ1C and Luchs sealclubbers to stop that and buy one of these! I would call it a 'capping tank.' As Claus mentions, cause disruption, get the enemy to aim at you rather than your team mates, giving the slow tanks time to get into the right positions.When the opportunity arises, get behind the enemy and take out SPG's and cap to make the enemy move back to defend it. I would imagine serious light tank players who like to spot will not be attracted to this. This is a vehicle for the maverick player, like the ELC AMX players prior to the nerf, who just like to make a nuisance of themselves with the enemy. I wouldn't buy one, but I am not a PZIC or Luchs type of player.

Yes when you detect a vehicle is purely math based on their location however you can skillfully play around that using it's high camo value, bushes, as well as it's superior mobility to if not every other tank in the game damn close to it. Also Quickybaby showed his stats after 60 games with the thing and he was just performing slightly under what he does in the elc even 90 and a bit more than the lt-432

Claus Kellerman, the Kanonenjagdpanzer 105 has very good camo when stationary or moving. If I was in my ELC EVEN 90, I would be even closer to you in your current situation/crewskills etc and would have probably been racing next to you a few seconds later.

I think this tank is great, maybe some of you that got too familiar with dabbing the gold key and forgot how LT used to play, THIS is it! Circle HTs or non turreted TDs and make them feel helpless, zip into enemy camp kill their SPGs and zip back out. I see Claus mentioned a lot that enemy don't shot you when you running wild on the field is not because they don't know what you are, ITS BECAUSE THEIR TURRET COULDN'T CATCH UP with the speed!

GOOD! I was worried that I wouldn't get to my starting positions EVER again because of these overly fast vehicles. I like that they're not just OP scouts. I was borderline quitting when I heard scouts were gonna be going 80kmh now and you wouldn't even get to play in the battle because you get spotted and destroyed immediately after spawning.

For those of us who used to play T50-2's in the old days, this is the same. Remember, they died in the first 10 sec. or they would hide in the back and after about 5 min. rush the arty and kill all the 1 shot tanks.

to be fair, other big contributers like qb or circon for example mentioned that while it is fun, most of the games are underwhelming and they just showed a good game out of 20, the other 19 were terrible. But its nice of u to mention it again. For me it seems these things need some love. Buffing the viewrange would probably do the job.

I don't see this tank being viable for sale as is other than the yolo like a muppet factor because 310 base cripples beyond hope, bump it up to around 350 and it will be ok. I suspect that at some point it could be marathon fodder so WG could collect data before releasing the normal tech tree.

I don't think it's meant to be an active scout. I've had fair luck with it using it more like an ultra light and medium support tank, or using it to give the enemy something very hard to hit from mid to long range, the trick is to keep bobbing and weaving unpredictably at some angle to incoming fire , fire all HE to occasional track enemies for arty and occasionally doing some big crits, hunt down and HE face blast with 75 pen other light active scouts, or flanking behind people and putting HE shells up their ass for a quick 500 damage finishing them off, most people fire HE at this tank and mostly it just does a bit of track damage which you always want to quick repair if you are in a dangerous situation, then stay farther back for awhile until repair kit is refreshed, stay alive until the end game and it's a great arty hunter.

It looks like WG are trying to fill a role that is currently lacking in WoT, that of an extremely fast flanker. Not something that'll spot for other tanks, not something that can find a position and go hull down in it, but something that requires map knowledge and the ability to read a battle to get the best effect out of it. Basically a tank that 'proves' that people are actually good. From this video and the single video that I've watched from Quickybaby, this plays very similar to how the Pz II C plays on console, but gives up spotting range for a significant boost to mobility (that reverse speed/acc is crazy). It's about finding those angles to rattle the reds so that they swing around worried about someone shooting their flanks while you zip off nowhere even close to where you shot them from, relieving some pressure from the front line. If you can break through and eat some arty and long range TD, even better. It's really going to come down to the map rotation though. If it's a map that can allow flanking and covered movement from one location to another, then this tank is going to have a field day in the right hands. If the map is corridors or completely flat, even the best tankers are going to have a bad match. You're right though, in the hands of those who are only dabbling in this play style or who don't have the knowledge and skill necessary to pull this off, it's going to be like seeing noobs in the Pz II C, rushing to the the garage quicker than arty can drown themselves.

Don't underestimate the power of distraction/disruption. So many games can be lost in the first 15-30 seconds by teams that get distracted and don't deploy to the important parts of the map. Or, people get obsessed with sniping at some yolo and ignore the fact that something else is happening while they're focused on the squirrel. I think it's a meta-breaker...which could be good, or bad, I suppose. Like you say, I think this tank will be very good for good players and very bad for bad players.

Claus, this is part of the build up for the Pay-To-Win button. After you yo-lo around and take a hit with a damaged wheel you can just click on the PTW button and not have your WN8 suffer!

The thing I noticed is that wheeled vehicles ruin the asphalt :/ Oh, and BTW, you can CLIMB to places that are out of bounds by design. These will break the game beyond recognition because of that.

I am waiting to see the whole line honestly. We have no idea what the tier 10 is going to be like, if it is going to be worth the grind, or if it is going to be in clan wars. I like that they are adding in wheeled vehicles but I would rather they work on the MM, weak spots, map balance ... pretty much anything else before they spend time on wheeled vehicles. Also as skill showed in his review, this thing is going to bring back boosting ....

This comment is on the wheeled vehicles in general...I believe they are one of the best vehicles in the game currently...right behind the T95/FV4201. I have seen or have changed the outcome of a battle by myself or one of my platoon mates playing one of them. I currently have the EBR 105 and its amazing. 70% of my games, I have the most XP of my team and am in the top 5 for damage. 10% of the time, I have the most damage. This vehicle line doesn't start to get decent until tier 8 and is phenomenal at tier 10. I have played 30 battles in pubs with my EBR 105 and have unicum stats in it at this time.

I think it will be a fun YOLO tank, but past that, in it's current format you will need a seeing eye dog to find the enemy. Now that said, I wonder if you do the trick of hitting the space bar as you turn will let it slide like you can in a PZ1C, or if it will just lock you up and make you a bigger target?

There is one aspect that has not yet been covered to my knowledge. This is the first of the wheeled tanks. Assuming they do make a line of these tanks will this premium tank be able to train crews for the upcoming wheeled tanks? If the others only have two crew men then yes is the answer and people may buy it for that reason alone. If the others have three or four crew men then it wont be good for crew training which would be another negative for it. Something to consider. We'll have to wait and see what WG does.

Thanks Claus for this no BS video , 1st thing I see that will get some people mad = in the last clip 2 light tanks each side you and a T49 so 1 team gets a derp light with good view/detection range other gets a EBR with view/detection range of a KV-2 , yup balanced ! On the other hand , to have a decent player in 1 of those mid/late game could be great to go arty hunting and be a total pest on enemies that are spread out to much . I'm gona get one :P
