@1ABL. Absolutely, the M60 although in fairness, being 5/6 years prior in service, was "big and chunky"...the T62 was quite clearly a vehicle with ww2 origins.

Great video! I wasn't a tankie but spent five days living in a Chieftain on exercise. I was in the loaders seat. Spent the time watching, learning, making brews and stagging on. Had a great time.

could be, the place were i was stationed was a tank batallion and had multiple tanks m60 and the likes just sitting around on the training grounds just rotting away, they were fully drained though and made unuseable.

I’ve counted 4 or 5 tanks in the background and that one makes about 6 tanks at least just sitting dead in a field. Some of those tanks don’t look so weathered either. If you don’t mind by me asking, where and why are military grade armored vehicles like that just sitting out in the open for anyone to just have?

The Chieftain had it's problems but had a lot of fun in mine we had a Radio/Cassette player hooked up to the intercom two BVs the Ammo tubes were full of Cigars and extra food and that German wine what used to warm you up but can't remember it's name, as the driver I was always covered in oil and bleeding fingers, but still fond memory's.
