@bokehtherapy Do you think this bag would hold a Z8 with 24/70mm f2.8 attached? Love Wotancraft bags, I have many, but I need one that fits that camera combo, with a 15in laptop.
@BokehTherapy4 ай бұрын
Mmm you’d need the large camera cube without any dividers - the 24-70mm f2.8 Z would take up the whole length when attached. Do you have the Pilot 18L backpack - if so does it fit in that bag?
@johncarlan4 ай бұрын
@BokehTherapy I don't have any of their backpacks currently. They sent a video of a 5Dmii in the New City Explorer, but I'm not saving much weight there, compared to the Pilot 10l. I'd love a Pilot 12l, or Lightning Rider that fits a 15in. Unfortunately, work requires a 15in laptop and they won't replace it with anything smaller no matter how hard I beg, lol.
@BokehTherapy4 ай бұрын
Haha the easypack will fit 15” laptop if it’s within 25 x 35 cm dimensions. The Z8 seems to be too tall dimension wise for the big camera insert if the lens is attached? Think you’d have better luck with the Pilot 18L but it is a fair bit bigger

Good review. This looks like a very useful and functional carry. You might find it interesting to review some of the Billingham offerings. I have had a 307 bag for about eight years and have found it very useful. It is very well sealed against rain (assuming I don't forget to close the top) and it provides a good platform for changing lenses. It holds a lot but that can be a downside as it gets heavy. That is not a problem with the bag though. It is a "me" problem. I like the flexibility that the cubes offer for all the reasons you demonstrate.
@BokehTherapy4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching - I used to have a full set of Billingham bags but switched over to Wotancraft because of the weight issues you faced as well. I still like the look of Billingham better but lighter carry is always easier
@geraldlee78313 ай бұрын
Hi Jack, wouldn’t securing the camera cube sideway, and closer to the top enable side access?
@BokehTherapy3 ай бұрын
Hi Gerald, the cube velcros closed and you need to lift the flap up before you can access what's inside. Even securing the cube sideways I found it a little hard for quick access without putting the bag down. The tradeoff is I find this camera cube a lot more secure than side access bags. Hope that answers your question? Thanks for watching!

A cousin of mine lend me the 7L and I love it but when the bag it's full (nikon ZF with 40mm, 85mm some times with the 14-24 2.8) and one ricoh the bag doesn't shape my body as supposed. My question here is if the 10L would feet better and if it's much bigger than the 7L and if the weight it's more distribute to shape better the body. many thanks
@BokehTherapy3 ай бұрын
I am about 6 ft tall and weigh 75kg - both 7L and 10L pilot bags fit fine for me. Issue is how heavy I tend to pack the 10L with a laptop and extra gear, but if it’s carrying the same amount of gear the 10L wraps around my body a bit better. I have uses for both - bought the 10L first then the 7L shortly after… if you’re on the fence go with the 10L as laptop carry becomes possible. Hope that helps
