Just something I threw together. Let me know what you all think of this tank-like build. Cheers!

Laying student of stone myself going aeon. It’s a solid build and can be very tanky. My ki powers were a little different. Went with bark skin first, then I got restoration to remove exhaustion, fatigue and attribute damage. Then I got speed to make up for the lack of increased mobility that oread stone students miss out on. Then they were about the same as yours. As an aeon, my gazes increase my attack and damage overall but also for the whole party while reducing it for all enemies around me, which effectively raises my AC and damage reduction even further. One of my mythic abilities is unrelenting assault, which means so long as I make an attack in a round the damage increases by +2 to a maximum of +20. So the longer a fight goes on the more overall damage I do. 2d10+20+all other modifiers is huge late game. Add in +10 attack at mythic rank 10 from a gaze for all companions and myself while reducing it by that much among all enemies and I am a killing machine.

Perfect self is the level 20 ability for traditional monk in kingmaker. It's a passive. Check the martial tab in the character menu it should be stated in the DR section.

Man if only they added in the other Monk styles. I remember Snake Style's Snake Fang was OP since you get an attack of opportunity if opponent misses you; and if you hit then you can make another strike against the same opponent...

Hardness is pretty much the same thing as damage reduction. The difference is it applies to objects instead of creatures. One thing to note, this build might have a hard time on time with enemies stats at 100% as the attack rating is a bit low. After chapter 4 many of the enemies have 60+ ac with some even having 75 or more. Highest I saw was 80.
@brothermutant73703 жыл бұрын
How the HELL do you hit something with an 80 AC? Good lord, that is some inflated stats.
@bonbobiz70803 жыл бұрын
For Deskaris 75AC I had like 60 attack on a sorcerer/dragon disciple/angel attack after all my buffs. Maxed Seelas charisma and had her 11 paladin and 9 bard. Between her buffs it buffs it gave +11 to hit. Shared favored enemy from Arueshalae and I turned Lan into an Inquisitor and learned guarded hearth using impossible domain. I hit on 2s.

@@bonbobiz7080 SICK son! Nice work. I can't wait for the release of this game.

@@brothermutant7370 One way to 'hit' insanely high AC is to use spells - dragon's breath, for example ignores spell resistance, and can be cast as any elemental type so you can probably find a variant of it that can damage most things.

don't have a quick guide ?

So I don't know if anyone can answer this: It is my understanding that the outsider status from lvl 20 Perfect Self negates the ability to take certain buffs like Legendary Proportions. Can anyone confirm this or clarify this?

Why no love for style strikes? They are free toggles thar allow you to customize your fights..and you can use 2 at level 15..talking like spending 3 feats on vital strike tree and getting one attack in a round is better than a free hammer blow or 2 and all you other attacks that round with out wasting one feat...love your stuff BTW just want you to have full use of your monks lol..

Shame Stone Self doesn't give the Burrow Speed like it's supposed to in Tabletop

Fantastic video, really inspired me to try out some stuff with monks. I am really curious to see what would happen if you take a decent monk level (16?) to get maxed out flurry, then taking the Legend Path to get some other class to 20 and letting you do some degenerate stuff. A fully flurrying, full level sword saint, maybe with some vivsectionist for mutagen and sneak attack, seems like it would be crazy (though it would hurt passing on one of the 'proper' mythic paths to do it). Still, I think a monk would be a fantastic base/ build-in for a Legend character.

I am planning on doing this with quarterstaff master.

I feel like it's best to focus on a style so you can compliment it with feats. For this movement 20 wonder, I would probably prefer pummeling charge myself. But I guess if he's far enough in front of your team he can just turtle up with crane style.
@JarredPearman2 жыл бұрын
Doesn't this archetype still get monk fast movement for +10 every 3 levels? I'm thinking it would hit +80 without haste by around lvl 18.
@climhazzard1152 жыл бұрын
@@JarredPearman Idk I was just looking at his character page in the video, I haven't personally looked at or played the archtype, at level 20 he has a speed of 20.

@@climhazzard115 Hmmm interesting. Maybe Oread simply negates any buffing of it. I glanced at Oread and it didn't interest me at all. Or maybe it's not on this archetype but I think the MF is the abbreviation for monk fast movement.

@@JarredPearmanNope. Playing Student of stone myself. Sacrifice increased mobility for more durability. Regill regularly outruns my student of stone into the fray unless I charge myself.
