I think that combined, the Madrigals are a nearly perfect unit for battle. Bruno-could see the outcome of the coming battle and how they could win or when to retreat if they could not. Dolores-can hear enemy battle plans and how far the enemy is. Her being the perfect lookout. Camillo- would be an excellent spy, or possibly assasin. Antonio-can summon animals of the forest to serve as enlisted soldiers should they need extra manpower. Luisa-is a one woman wrecking ball that could take down possible legions of soldiers solo. Isabella- can summon and manipulate plants to ensnare or pummel her enemies. Pepa- a weather bomb in human form, send her to wipe out scores of enemy units or attack their camps/base while maintaining a safe distance. Julieta- the ultimate medic. The non gifted like Felix and Augustine could serve as aid to Julieta or collecting supplies. Abuela and Mirabel- Would likely act as commanders. Ensuring that the town is evacuated and placing each family member in their optimal positions.

It’s between Isabella and Pepa for me. Pepa might not be able to fully control her powers, but when her and her family are getting attacked, she’s going to get angry. And Isabella definitely is powerful as well because she can make any existing plant. They’re both immensely powerful to me

My theory is Pepa CAN control the weather. But when her powers were developing it would get triggered by her moods so abuela just told her you mood makes the weather. She never questioned it, therefore never got to grow her power. At the end of encanto we can see her use her gift without it reflecting her mood

100% its isabella, Even if luisa can move mountains, Luisa can start holding her in awkward poses with vines or even trees so that she cant defend herself as easily, she canmake poison ivy grow wherever Luisa touches, she can catch Luisa with a vine before she's close enough to hit her and launch her across town. And best of all Luisa have to eventually get tired fighting all that, while we see that Luisa spends almost no energy just willing whatever into existance instantly

Okay you do have a good point that Luisa could get tired out, but again, all it would take is one hit from Luisa to take a victory over Isabela and I don’t know if anything would actually be able to hold Luisa back. Luisa can rip through any vines that come her way and she’ll rip through even the largest trees.

Since we know Isabela can pretty much create plants out of nowhere, anywhere she wants (being able to punch Mariano who wasn't even in sight at least for Isabela) so she might as well just straight up kill Luisa, by growing plants inside her body. This is absolutely creepy and I doubt Isabela would of that far, but if it's a deathmatch then Isabela basically can kill people on the inside, no matter where they are or what they do. Just a thought from Isabela and it's over.

As for me, it's Pepa. The only drawback is that she can't fully control her powers but, I guess, at the fce of death she would be terrifying. Even if we take Isabella and her plants, a hurricane can take the roots out of the ground and that is when they become useless. So, Pepa is my candidate

Director Jared Bush confirmed on Twitter that Camilo can take on the normal traits of anyone he transforms into. So if he transformed into the fastest (normal) person in the world, he could run as fast as that person, but if he transforms into one of his family members he doesn't gain their Gifts.

Isabella showed that a power can be pushed further with imagination. At the end of her song she was creating plants that didn't exist. Camillo and Bruno might be able to push their abilities further. Antonio power made animals that were dangerous tame. but it's limited to indigenous animals.

Depends on how you look at it, shapeshifter can do mind games but can't really finish anyone off, the plant girl has the most raw power but isn't a fighter and a strong one can fight but I don't think she's the most intelligent and has a disadvantage in terms of range. It's absolutely Pepa. I mean, she's got the powers of Storm from the X-Men with all of the mental instability of the Scarlet Witch. No one is safe.

The thing is, we don't know how indestructable Luisa really is. We don't see anything really aiming to harm her in the movie (aside from the dream sequences in her song). Could she survive a tree falling on her? A bullet hitting her in the head? Being struck by lightning or trapped by a blizzard? If we say she could survive that, I agree that poison would be the best way. And that is how Isabella would win. She couldn't make Luisa eat anything poisonous (aside from tricking her), but Luisa still has to breathe. And we know, that Isabella can create pollen. That's how she dyes her hair and clothes. Some pollen can be poisonous or block peoples'airways. Luisa's main weakness is, that she is a short-range fighter while Isabella can grow her plants from a distancs. Sure, Luisa can throw stuff, but Isabella is good with her vines and could evade whatever rocks her sister throws at her. All Isabella has to do is spam whatever plant she chooses and wait until Luisa succumbs to her pollen.

Not only did do nothing, it literally shattered around her. She gets crushed by the weight of a house and shrugs it off. There's no amount of brute force Isa could generate that would able to harm her. Though I agree air born poison could definitely do the trick. That said, I don't know about lightning or frostbite. It would probably hurt, but her endurance would likely allow her to shrug it off.

Honestly, all of the Madrigals, especially Pepa’s side, can be a team of supervillains. Like seriously, think about it- Pepa can control the weather with her mood. She can cause potentially the biggest hurricanes in all of history. Dolores Hears EVERYTHING! She has heard all the sh*t talking, every lie, she can literally ruin everyone’s relationship with what she’s heard. Also, she can make up lies, and no one would know if she’s lying. Camillo can take the form of anyone can frame someone for cheating, a crime, or break up a friendship. Also, who knows what he can do in the form of another person. And who’s to say that he can’t take on the form of an animal? Antonio is only five years old and already has full control of his powers, he can send an army of jaguars after someone. Julietta is proven to be able to heal people with her food. But with like Isabella, who knows what her cooking can do. She could make a cupcake that can cause COVID. Isabella is basically Mother Nature. We see what she had done when she only BEGINS to explore her powers. Who knows what would happen if she tries to hurt someone. And Luisa is basically the female and non green Hulk. Hell, I bet that she could take on a hellicarrier. Hell, Mirabel could count because it’s basically all but confirmed that Mirabel is the successor to Alma. And she has full control of the house. Lord knows what she could do with the Encanto. She could easily just blow out the candle and destroy their gifts. And that’s on their own! Like imagine if they team up. Like seriously, Pepa and Antonio can cause a real life Sharknato. Juliette and Isabella can team up and poison everyone with her food (or just make them sick to get money for Julietta’s healing food). Camillo can turn into a jaguar and kill Antonio from the inside. The possibilities for crossovers are endless! These guys are basically supervillains waiting to be born. Like, imagine if one of them snapped. The family and village would be screwed.

I think Isabella is by far the strongest Madrigal! If there is a battle between Luisa and Isabella (just hypothetically), Isabella has the adventage of distance! She can create plants in the distance and can get herself away from Luisa. Remember Luisa is strong not fast! So Isabella could grow plants around Luisa that are poisonous in a way that can affect Luisa. Luisa seems to not be able to get hurt, so you say no plant can puncture her skin, but there are a lot of plants that can poison you on mere contact (no puctuation needed) I was intruiged by this idea and googled a bit and found this: "The milky sap of the leaves and bark contains an irritating chemical called phorbol, which generates a strong allergic skin reaction. Raindrops falling through the tree can collect phorbol and burn a person standing underneath. Even touching the tree can cause the skin to blister" -> just contact is enough, so if you encage Luisa and she wants to free herself by ripping off plant parts she is already poisoned. Furthermore there are plants that pass poison through the respiratory system and Luisa needs to breath like every human. So poisoning Luisa is not difficult at all if you know your plants which Isabella seems to do. And after poisoning Luisa, Isabella would just need to escape with help of her plants long enough until the poison takes Luisa out. Never underastimate the power of plants! :D

What if Isabella wrapped Luisa with poison ivy, poisonous oak and the gimpy gimpy plant. The poison ivy obviously gives a distracting itch as well as the poisonous oak. The gimpy gimpy plant is known to make animals want to commit suicide because of the pain it causes from one brush up. If that plant were to surround your body it would be terrible. Plus Isabella has powder that can obscure Luisa’s vision and make her sneeze uncontrollably which is a normal human reaction. On top of Isabella having access to poisonous plants I think she has the ability to win.

Now I noticed a limitation on Julieta's power. She can't store it. She can't make a batch of cookies today that you could use tomorrow. She has to hand administer it. This is why the town lines up for her to hand them food one by one. The healing needs her to be near in order for it to work. It also has to be freshly cooked. When she heal Mirabell's hand and Augustin's bee stings. She cooked food for them instead of giving them previously made.

honestly id say the most powerful/useful are delores and pepa, communication is extreamly important and knowing what the enemies are planning is a vital "weapon" to have on the madrigals side, that is the assumption that the enemies dont know about the madrigals gifts so the invadors wouldnt know to make as much sound as possible, and pepa could easily wipe everone out with her storms

I think Mirabel does have a gift but it was inactive because of the broken state of her family she’s the magic aka the source that means she’s the one that can control others gifts. And by that fact alone it actually makes Mirabel the most powerful member. And we do see her gift in action. She changed Bruno’s vision you can see her eyes glow gold for a minute right before the butterfly appears

If the Madrigals did get into a fight, I think Mirabel is the most powerful. She seems like the only person that would think of blowing out the candle, therefore ending her families powers. They all clearly don’t know how to function without their abilities and that would give her an advantage. While her family struggled to adjust, Mirabel would rise up and take them down. If she knew how to fight properly, Mirabel would overpower her family.

As a DnD player I would think Antonio is the most powerful. An un-ending army of creatures you don’t have to command outside of “attack”? Many small enemies can overwhelm a party much faster than one large one because that one large one has one movement per 6 second turn vs 20 other creatures each also having one movement… it’s easy to be overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

I don't think I can imagine Luisa or Isabella fighting one another to see who's stronger. I imagine them protecting the village when something sinister comes by and that will test the magic of the whole family. In terms of combat, both of them could protect the village, Bruno would warn them before hand but could not say the exact moment it will happen or it could be pretty vague.

I disagree with you on who is most powerful. I believe that Miribel holds the title for Most Powerful. Her ability to have the house listen to her when no else does and her love for her family even when they ignored her. She is the one who brought Bruno back and brought the family and town back together. Spiritual Healers are the ones who hold together can hold and reunite a family to become whole again. They hold a massive power. Remember her mother has the gift of physical healing through food but Miribel takes it one step further uniting the family through unity of gathering the family at the table.
