Justin Timberlake wasn't the only American pop star working his charm on Germany's "Wetten, dass..?" Bruno Mars rocked the stage with his hit single "Locked Out of Heaven."
Bruno, who just announced dates for his "Moonshine Jungle Tour," wooed the ladies with a Jheri curl, open-chested silk shirt, and Versace chains, as he and his Hooligans put on a lively performance.
He also made one young girl's dream come true by kissing her on the hand and serenading her with "Just the Way You Are." Awww!

Friedrichshafen -- Die kleinen Überraschungen machen „Wetten, dass..?" liebenswert. Wer bei der Show aus Friedrichshafen als Zuschauer genug Geduld mitbrachte, konnte sie erleben. Da war die kleine Lina Mai (7) aus Gelsenkirchen, die bei ihrer Kinderwette Wörter im Computer-Binärcode buchstabierte. Dann sang Bruno Mars für sie seinen Hit „Just The Way You Are", und sie sang mit.
Bruno Mars (bürgerlich Peter Gene Hernandez;* 8. Oktober 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii ist ein US-amerikanischer R&B-Sänger und Songwriter, Musikproduzent und Grammy-Preisträger. Mars hat sechs Millionen Alben und mehr als 40 Millionen Singles verkauft, davon alleine zehn Millionen Exemplare von Just the Way You Are und Grenade
Mars begann seine Karriere als Musikproduzent und produzierte unter anderem Flo Rida, Alexandra Burke, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Brandy, Cobra Starship, B.o.B, Sean Kingston und die Sugababes. Seine erste Single trug den Namen Nothin' on You, bei der er Gastmusiker neben B.o.B war. Das Lied erreichte 2010 Platz 1 der Billboard Hot 100 und wurde Mars' erster Nummer-eins-Hit in den USA sowie Platz 1 im Vereinigten Königreich und den Niederlanden. Außerdem war Mars an der Produktion des Hits beteiligt und schrieb das Lied zusammen mit B.o.B. Hernandez hatte am 11. Mai 2010 seine relativ erfolglose Debüt-EP mit dem Titel It's Better If You Don't Understand herausgebracht. Die einzige Single war The Other Side mit Cee Lo Green und B.o.B.
Sein Debütalbum mit dem Titel Doo-Wops & Hooligans wurde am 5. Oktober 2010 in den USA veröffentlicht; in Deutschland erschien es am 14. Januar 2011. Im Mai 2010 schrieb Mars den Song Billionaire für Travie McCoy, Mars selbst lieferte den Gesang. Das Lied erreichte bislang Platz 4 der US-Charts, Platz 3 der UK-Charts und wurde für ihn der zweite Nummer-eins-Hit in den Niederlanden.
Neben großem Erfolg als Co-Autor für Songs wie Flo Ridas Right Round, K'naans Wavin' Flag und Cee Lo Greens Fuck You! veröffentlicht Bruno Mars auch eigene Singles. Seine Solo-Debütsingle Just the Way You Are erschien im Juli 2010. Sie konnte ebenfalls an die Erfolge der Vorgängersingles anknüpfen und erreichte erneut Platz 1 in USA und Großbritannien. Im Januar 2011 wurde Grenade Mars' zweiter eigener Nummer-eins-Hit in den USA.
Bei den Grammy Awards 2011 erhielt Bruno Mars den Grammy für Just the Way You Are in der Kategorie „Best Male Vocal Performance". Bruno Mars wurde neben Model Joan Smalls für die Juniausgabe 2011 der Vogue in Puerto Rico abgelichtet.[14] Sein zweites Studioalbum Unorthodox Jukebox ist am 7. Dezember 2012 in Deutschland, Australien und Österreich erschienen. Offizielles Erscheinungsdatum ist jedoch der 11. Dezember 2012. Die erste Singleauskopplung Locked Out of Heaven erschien am 1. Oktober 2012
