David is foiled by the fact that Rhod is mad as a fish.

David has chronic anxiety, and Rhod has ADHD. It's the spectrum from sensory-avoidant to sensory-seeking. David's nervous system and brain are constantly overstimulated, so he needs to make things safer to calm himself down. Rhod's brain is constantly understimulated, so he needs to make things more exciting to entertain himself. David has a hard time understanding why people engage in impulsive and risky behavior. As an ADHDer like Rhod, the world made a lot more sense to me when I realized that I am at one end of an extreme, with another minority of people at the opposite end and the majority of people in the middle.

It would be absolutely amazing if Lee had a guest that come on and his line was “This is the American I met because they wanted to be on the show.” They would ask when you met and Lee said only an hour before the show! Lee always gets wildly unbelievable stories sometimes and he’s brilliant enough to make it seem totally implausible when it was actually the truth!

Lucky dice, being able to tell a person's head size, being able to smell if there's a dead fly, etc. Is it too much to ask for a little consistency in this show where the points mean nothing?

that's because the fundamental act of Dara's "talent" was simply walking back and forth. literally every able bodied person could do that, it's just a matter of it would have the perceived 'style' to match up with his story. Walking (fully) on your hands or tearing a dense piece of fruit in half in seconds are far more difficult, rare abilities to have. I've always found that this is the common applicable logic to be had when someone is otherwise asked to physically demonstrate the thing they're claiming with their story.
