Every day that goes by, I start feeling more and more foolish about letting PWill go. He's a 6'8, 3&D versatile wing player who shot 40% from 3 this past year as a 22 yo. If we let him go, we will spend the next three years trying to draft a player of that prototype. I know we've been waiting for like 4 years for his jump so we feel like it should have happened by now, 22 is still EXTREMELY young. Even if we sign him at 18M per year for four years (which he hasn't quite earned), we may feel like that's a steal two years from now when maybe he makes a bit of a jump at 24.

Clingan could anchor your D for next 12 years, + save you 80 mill. Got to give up something to get something. As a Pistons fan this trade will never happen anyway as I don't think Detroit has any interest in Williams anymore... that desire left with Troy Weaver he was a big PW guy. Detroit probably drafts Buzelis instead of DK.

@@florida1289 I'm not as big on Clingan personally. I think he's fine, and I'd draft him if he fell to us and I didn't have to give up anything to get him. But there are other centers I'm more interested in who are a bit more versatile in offense, defense or both. And most are projected to be there at #11 on draft night But with Pwill, as soon as we started showing signs we may not sign him, several teams (both competing and not) around the league immediately started preparing to pay him. That should be a glaring sign that maybe we need to relax on letting him walk. If he's the EXACT same player in two years, we'd still be able to trade him and probably get assets back because he's a 40% 3pt shooter who's 6'8 and a versatile 1-4 defender. Even if he doesn't make a jump and just stays the same, that archetype is valuable. I'm willing to spend the $80M across 4 years, not a big deal

If the Bulls aren't getting a player that they have enough faith in to put on the roster...and not ship off to the G-League for 2 seasons...they should make that move. If the Bulls are going to do what they traditionally do and draft a player to boost G League attendance, go ahead and trade that pick. If Caruso has to get traded, it better be for more than market value. Teams and players have a history of finessing our front office, it's getting old. The Bulls need an identity and direction. All I want is to have a coherent roster by the time the season starts. Let's get a starting 5 with players in their natural positions and a bench that's doing the same. Enough of this SG/C crap.

Thank you haize for bringing up the context somewhat for iggy lol. Like we get it dude ain’t no superstar and won FMVP but I really feel like either people didn’t watch that finals or are just looking at the box score and rewriting history in their head. I remember everyone at the time did really understand iggy was that guy that really pushed that team over that series. It’s the fact he was doing near everything and maybe he just caught a hot streak for that series specifically but it was evident he stepped up his play and damn near every play from him was the right move on both sides of the ball.

Donovan Clingan where is the hell did he show anybody that he’s a scorer? Clingan is better at blocking shots than Edey no question. But they are both slow of for and can’t guard the perimeter. Look at Gorbert he’s a DOY and does not move great but better than most. Clingan is slower than Gobert defensively. If you are going to go center. Take a chance of one of the younger kids that can guard the perimeter and lanky. Also resign Pat and if you can accept him as a 3&D guy playing the 3/4 and allowing him to be a role player than this works. Furthermore, we already have a winning UConn Center e ho flashed potential grabbing 20 rebounds in Sinogo. Let him and Julian Philips play and don’t give them bigger roles than they are ready for
