We have been nuclear armed since before you and I were born. Every active government and prime minister since then, if asked that question would have said that exact answer. Because if the answer was no. Then that nuclear capability is nullified. And unfortunately we are a prime target, mainly from Putin. As we are a major contributor of arms to Ukraine. Infact Putin has said if it comes to it we are top of the list. So however "disgusting" it is, and I believe you are right BTW. This was the only correct answer. Believe me after the cold war I think our governments in America, France, the UK, India and Pakistan should have made it a priority to get rid of this terrible threat. But they didn't and now a few more deranged countries have them like north Korea. So as the years go on the threat of nuclear war becomes more complicated and likely. And the chance of a treaty to end this madness becomes less likely. I don't like Stama, but that was an easy question to answer, and he did give the correct answer to it.
