Trevor Phillips suggests that Labour would owe something to Nigel Farage and Reform UK if the party wins a significant majority at Thursday's general election.
The Conservatives - who are 20 points behind Labour in the polls, with Reform UK closely behind - have lost a significant number of voters to Mr Farage's party.
But Labour's Pat McFadden insists the result is only in the hands of the voters.

George Galloway said in Rochdale his closest challengers are Reform and that is true of his other candidates in red wall seats in the north. So reform are taking Labour voters too. Everything depends on whether Labour voters turnout or stay at home. If they stay at home and I hope they do Reform the Worker's party and independent candidates could be the big winners.
@royboy565

@andrewgora3672
@andrewgora3672 7 күн бұрын
@@royboy565 But polling companies are not on the ground going from door to door. Galloway is and throughout the election he has been saying there is a huge discrepancy between what he meets on the doorstep and the polls. Check out this evening on KZbin and see what he says. Reform haven't said anything concrete that the polls are wrong but independent candidates report the same thing as Galloway that people are sick and tired of two cheeks of the same backside !

I have an incredible policy which could help towards fixing things. Make it law that a company CEO can earn more than 50x their lowest paid employee. There, someone earning £15,000.00 mean a CEO can then only earn £750,000.00. The CEO shouldn’t be punished for being successful, but they shouldn’t be able to do it in the back of others hard work. And £750,000.00 is still an incredible amount of money for any single person to earn. They also would not be able top this up with dividendsThis will redivide wealth. It’ll hurt Mike Ashley.

It's not about how we slice the pie into ever smaller tranches. It's all about how we can make the pie larger! The maths behind providing enough for a growing population with a shrinking economy is for the birds! Investing in our future's the only way out of this mess! I believe that Labour realises this and our job is to ensure that they're given the time and space to enact this strategy.

Phillips is being more than usually pathetic, given that Labour has been 20 points ahead of the Conservatives for getting on for 2 years, so with or without Reform Labour is on for a win. Most can say that Reform will make the Conservative loss greater than it might have been without them. Labour has nothing to thank Reform for, and the Conservatives only blame themselves for their loss. He's also talking nonsense about pensioners, those who are only receiving the state pension are not rich because if that were true they wouldn't also be receiving housing benefits and pension credit. Those of us who are also in receipt of occupational or private pensions are already paying tax on income above the tax-free allowance. All the Tories did was exempt state pension taxation when the trip[le lock takes above the current personal tax allowance which will happen in the next year or so, as the result of Hunt's freezing of the personal allowance.
