As an American in Russia, I have always wondered if Russians would live in the USA. I met many Russians while I lived in the United States, and also know many Americans who currently live in Russia. So for this Moscow street talk, I ask Russians if they’d like to try out living in the USA. And if not the USA, then where else and why? Some of the answers may surprise you! Im indian I lived in Russia for few months and currently living in USA since 2 yrs, if i could make lot of money in Russia i would move there tomorrow, Moscow was wayyy better than any city in USA, no street crimes, no homeless, no guns, the nightlife is wild in Russia, it gets cold but its ok, women are beautiful, people dress really awesome

What I liked a lot is the fact that a lot of people who haven't been to the US say "Well, I've never been there, so I can't say for certain, need to go and see first". I haven't seen this type of critical thinking in a lot of europeans.

American here who is so excited to get out of this country by the end of the year. I will love to try and move to russia one day. Going to portugal for 5 years to get EU citizenship first. I admire Russia as there is real culture and morals left in the country. It is not a trash dump of liberal policies like the USA.

Эта молодая дама по имени Саша - пропагандистка... она говорит, что она американка и пытается сократить разрыв, но на самом деле ничего подобного не делает, просто пытается показать Америку в плохом свете. США были созданы потому, что европейцы преследовались по вероисповеданию из-за Католической церкви, поэтому свободы очень дороги американцам, даже свобода "оскорблять". Великий царь объявил Россию христианской нацией, так что Россия должна разделять некоторые ценности с Западом, но этого не происходит. Тут нет ничего удивительного, скорее всего она выросла в би-лингвистической семье, или росла в такой среде. Я встречал таких людей. Они могут в совершенстве говорить на 2-3 языках, но не выучить таблицу умножения, к примеру. Пол Казани говорит на русском и татарском, и без акцента.Гораздо важнее, то, что эта девушка делает. Вот тут действительно ей нужно отдать должное.

I don't have great optimism that anything would radically change under Trump. He did have John Bolton in his cabinet plus he recently defended Mike Johnson who totally flip flopped on Ukraine and FISA. Unless there is a 70's style Church committee senate inquiry into the CIA and collaboration with media, think tanks both domestic and international, lobby groups, etc. If I were Trump the 1st thing I would do is call for a Ukrainegate investigation of collusion between the Ukraine gov, Dem party figures and the CIA to perpetrate the Russian collusion conspiracy theory.

I also am an American from Minnesota! Biden and Obama have wrecked the USA. They seem to want to. I know that at one time Pres Putin wanted to join NATO…if NATO would have taken him up on that the it would be a different world now. But because of stupidity and poor leadership it was no. Напишу на русском, надеюсь переводчик справится) Я был во многих странах Европы и Азии, но в сша не был. Люди хотят жить в России не из-за СМИ, нас так же многое что то не устраивает, но есть несколько мелочей к которым мы привыкли. Например: 1. Обслуживание в ресторанах и общественных местах - это наша сильная сторона, всегда спросят сколько соли добавить, какое молоко будете добавлять в кофе, сколько сахара хоть 1 кусок, хоть 10 , если блюдо кажется не аппетитным или слишком солёным например, то в большинстве случаях вам его заменят, сделают скидку в честь Дня рождения или даже просто так. 2.Доставка , на примере Москвы. Я могу в приложении собрать заказ из продуктов, любых, допустим хлеб, молоко, мясо и манго, через 15-30 минут мне принесет его курьер и будет это стоить как в магазине. Так же можно заказать еду с любого фаст-фуда или ресторана и его привезут в течении 40-60 минут, а многие заведения если опаздывают на 5 минут хотябы, то дарят в подарок(5-10$) блюдо или скидку 15-30% 3.Такси очень доступно, каждый может его себе позволить. Так же есть аренда машин через приложение. Машины стоят по всему городу, в каждом дворе, чтобы его забронировать хватит 2 минуты и платишь только за время -1минута = 8-15 центов (0, 8-0, 15$) 4.Цена в магазинах указана сразу с налогом 5.Врача любой человек может вызвать бесплатно 6.Можно за секунду перевести деньги человеку на карту, зная его номер телефона 7.У нас очень тихое и чистое метро, в котором есть разъемы для зарядки телефона прямо в вагон , бесплатный вай фай, много полиции которая следит за порядком, при входе в метро ты проходишь через метало искатель, а большой багаж скандируют как в аэропорту 8. И главное у нас личная граница человека заканчивается там, где начинается граница другого человека . То есть, ты не должен свободой своих чувств или действий, мешать другим Возможно я могу быть не прав и всё это есть в сша, но я уверен структура отличается. P. S. As you know, there are a lot of citizens of polish origin in France, of both origins. First, during Beck and Pilsudski fascist dictature, a lot of Polish of jew origin flew to France in the 20s, and I know many, because most of them became great communist resistants ( FTP-MOI : a lot of , but for instance : Gingold family, Radzinsky family , Charles Lederman, etc ) and a basis of CP in Paris : even CP's leaders and mayors ( Fiszbin, Malberg, Schwartzbart, Fajzylberg) and union's leader ( CGT: Henri Krasucki) . But there were also miners ( in the 30s and after WWII) in our mines regions : Northern France and Bourgogne ...Among them, Edward Gierek. As Poland's right wing or neo-liberal pro Western leaders "decommunize" the country freed by Red Army that lost 600 000 soldiers, there was an association Edward Gierek, well organized in France, that fought against and is linked with Polish comrads. In France, all these french-polish citizens support Russia, but also , protest against the harass of Communists in Poland (jailed etc ). But our media never say a word about ! Do you know who is Pablo Gonzales ? He's a spanish journalist, born in Russia, who has been arrested a year ago, by Poland, as he came back from a reportage in Ukraine. He is kept 23:/24 in a cell, filmed, without connexion, neither mobile phone, no contact ( prohibited), not allowed to go out, as if he was a dangerous criminal : that's Poland today ! Thus, from France, there're three french-polish comrads and friends, 2 historians ( in Paris) , one journalist (in Nord) struggling to free him ( of course no trial, , because nothing against him) and one moves over here...

Я несколько раз летала в США, в первый раз когда училась в универе. Честно скажу, не понравилось по многим причинам. Другое дело если-бы предложили переехать в США годов 50/70х поехала бы и попыталась адаптироваться. Путешествовала, побывала во многих странах мира, на разных континентах. Скажу так, лучше родного дома ничего нет. Максимум меня хватало на неделю прибывания вне Родины. Россия🇷🇺 эта страна, где я родилась и эта страна где я бы хотела жить до конца своей жизни.

@@LyubovRF Поверьте, так нужно отвечать незнакомым людям, вы не жили в 90, когда у девчонок, любимый фильм "Интердевочка", у нас женщины с завода считали за счастье, работать в киоске, мужики шли делать ремонты. Были популярны такие певцы, как Вили Токарев, Шуфутинский, Любовь Успенская.

Изучение - всегда индивидуальный процесс. Но есть моменты общие, которые помогают. Помню, как в библиотеке Кембриджского университета я наткнулся на учебник Русского языка для англоговорящих. И начинался он с тех заимствований в русском из английского. На этапе незнания кирилицы даже это очень помогает преодолеть барьер неуверенности

А я бы сказал, что самое лучшее время для воплощения "American Dream" - было как раз бум строительства после мировых войн (Бреттон-Вудское соглашение)) и Америка попёрла в гору с 47-50х гг. и вплоть до первых звоночков с топливным кризисом в 71-73г. As a German I would also rather live in Moscow than any American city. Russian culture and people are really nice, the quality of food and service is great, women are super beautiful. It seems like Germany in old times: everyone has manners, dresses normally or stylish and people value traditions. If there wasn’t the current conflict I would definitely go for a job in Moscow 👍 PS: trains run more efficiently and on-time than in Germany 😅

Я жила в Чикаго. Прекрасный город, особенно тот район, где я жила - Lakeview. Очень скучаю. Люди там душевные, но живут в ограниченном мире. В связи с политической ситуацией, я смотрю SNN, чтобы понимать почему они так думают. Иногда мир смеется над американцами что у них плохо с географией, знаниями о реальной ситации в мире и их собственными преступлениями. Хочу защитить их - их специально ограничивают в знаниях, специально не переводят информацию. Как в русской поговорке - "меньше знаешь - лучше спишь". Это об Американцах. Они очень неравнодушный и смелый народ, просто не каждый выходит из мыльного пузыря. Мы в более выгодном положении, т.к. учим английский в школе и университете. Я мечтаю посетить некоторые штаты, но конечно если дирижирование их властей по экономической дестабилизации России не изменится. Американцы могли бы быть хорошими друзьями с русскими. Но в любом случае, выбирая где для меня лучше, то конечно Россия. Мне нравится культура, образование, воспитание, свобода. Хотя, в последнее люди не верят. что такое свобода по-американски вам лучше расскажет Джуллиан Ассандж, культура отмены и процент владения мирового СМИ.

О чем тут говорить? Менталитет и культура у народов разная. Даже в регионах России... Я с Хабаровска, жил год в Москве и ни за что бы там не остался. А вот в Улан-Удэ, Омске и Калининграде, мне очень понравился местный народ. Во Владивостоке тоже (по большей части) коренной народ гниловат к сожалению. А для Москвы давно норма слизывать всё гавно у сша и европы, ещё до распада СССР...

Интересный факт о жизни моих друзей в Штатах. Каждый раз, когда я прилетала в гости, они были на работе примерно ВСЕГДА. Очень многие знакомые не были в отпусках по 10-12 лет. Если мы выезжали на 5-6 часов гулять или на океан, то они считали, сколько они бы заработали за это время, если бы остались батрачить. Большинство после Work&Travel переехали из России и Украины, думали, что сразу же разбогатеют, так как все очень умные и талантливые. В результате 90% в кредитах и пашут годами на довольно тяжелых и неинтересных работах. Такое себе.

In summer, my friends and I prefer to walk from one part of the city to another, at night, after the bar. We never thought about the fact that it could be dangerous. Recently, for some reason during such a walk, our friend had an unfortunate fall and sprained her leg. We called an ambulance for free, it took her to a trauma center for free, they fixed her up and within an hour she was back home in a cab for a couple bucks. At work they gave her a couple weeks of sick leave, which her employer and insurance will pay for. In this story, it makes absolutely no difference where she works (or if she works at all). Do I want to live in the US? No. I love my country, its comforts, Russian culture, and I value my identity more than ever. It's funny, I traveled a lot in Europe before covid, but even then and there, I didn't want to stay longer than a month. By the way, I remind you that 4 years ago I flew Moscow-Berlin-Moscow for 8k rubles. It was affordable for anyone who wanted it, so leave the poverty stories for gullible BBC readers.

ТОЛЬКО из поездок по России возвращалась со слезами, так хотелось оставаться подольше - на Камчатке, в БУРе на юге, в путешествиях на Оку, Волгу... конечно, на Биологической станции на Белом море... Вот из этих поездок не хотелось домой, а из Европы и США СКОРЕЕ ХОТЕЛОСЬ ВЕРНУТЬСЯ!! Интересно на недельку-дву как турист побыть, но не больше!

I live in Moscow. I speak fluent English. I've been to the US few times and I really enjoyed my trips (as a tourist), people I met were kind. They were interested when they learned that I'm from Russia, no aggression at all, but it was before 2019. However I don't think I would want to spent a chunk of my life in the US. I don’t know why exactly, but in no other country in the world have I missed my Motherland as much as in the US. I felt alone and divided from my home. Never had this feeling in Europe.

I was lucky enough to visit 47 countries of the planet, 189 cities at the moment (I have not been to the USA). I have a strong opinion that people are initially the same, with the same basic aspirations. Experience makes them different: language, culture, and the laws of the country. That's why I wouldn't want to leave Russia forever. Here are my roots, the cemeteries of my ancestors and the culture in which I feel very comfortable. But I, just like the people in the interview, live in a big city where there is a good social policy, many services are available, and great opportunities to meet cultural needs. Perhaps if I had no experience of traveling and working abroad (in good places, at the University of Cambridge in England and in a large international company) and I would live in a remote taiga, where the ambulance won't get there in an hour - I'd be thinking about moving. And so - we are waiting for the world to wake up from crazy confrontations, lift sanctions and we will be free again, as tourists, to bring our money to you, but for 2-3 weeks, no more 🤣 And now I would not take my money to the USA and Europe even for political reasons - it was these countries that provoked the coup in Ukraine, armed the Nazis first, and then the whole country, and now poor Ukraine is just at the bottom - it is fighting against its closest ally, against those people who really needed a happy, peaceful and rich Ukraine with its own production. My husband is Ukrainian, and I feel sorry for both Russian soldiers and ordinary Ukrainians, but I blame American gunsmiths and economists for this horror. They are killing Europe financially, and Ukraine - both financially and in human potential, prohibiting negotiations for Ukraine. Therefore, my money will now go to Asia, central and eastern.

Мужчине в бейсболке с надписью СССР отдельное спасибо за его мнение. Я тоже успел прихватить немного эру СССР и помню демонстрации с шариками, помню брата, наглаживающего пионерский галстук, помню родителей покупающих рыбу пластами, соленую в овальных банках, мороженное вообще покупали коробками и топили в кастрюльке, а стаканчики вафельные ели просто так. Мои родители были: отец(инвалид по зрению) - учитель истории и обществознания, мама (полиомиелит)- санитарка в приемном покое. Хочу сделать акцент! Мы не были богачами, элитой и т.д. но родители могли позволить все это за свои зарплаты + даже летать на самолете в Москву за колбасой. Вот такой "плохой был Советский союз". P/S: старший брат от школы летал один раз в лагерь в Артек!

@@anatolyy7239 какой же ты патриот,если уехал из своей страны...,если патриот,то все тяготы и лишения переживай со своей страной,а не ищи лучшей жизни на чужбине.Почему была массовая волна 80-х-90-х,потому что,хреново было жить в России,политическая обстановка,криминал,низкие доходы и т.д.,вот народ и ломанулся в поисках лучшей жизни..А пожив там,многие поняли,что своими так и не станут(здесь и менталитет играет немаловажную роль),вот и потянулись на Родину. Я могу понять,если ты живёшь в другой стране и являешься патриотом,это если нелегал-разведчик,или работаешь официально в др.стране,но представляешь интересы России.

@@thomasboushier2972 вы правы,менталитет разный(жизненный уклад,привычки,те же продукты непревычные),да и иностранцы относятся к русским с пренебрежением каким-то(возможно,сами этого и не замечая,а возможно и сознательно,для нас -это крайне непонятно,ведь в России иностранцев всегда уважали и смотрели с пиитетом,по крайней мере в 90-х).Вспомните слова того же господина Барреля,что Европа -это сад,а всё,что вокруг -джунгли.

I'm a bit astonished how even here in Moscow, all the Russians prefer to live in Moscow, because from what I learned from my Russian friends, young people and not only seem.to be very sensitive to Western propaganda and believe it's paradise, they even believe healthcare would be free in the USA etc...now the American dream has ended in this country. But one of girl is wrong about Switzerland : healthcare private insurance are extremely expensive and access to it is not equal. It's worth in the USA ( at least 400$ monthly). In France it's not free for everything ( surgeon is free for salarymen, but it was better in 1945 , due the Victory of USSR and Resistance that provided influence to CP whose minister Croizat created free healthcare system for salarymen and rights for workers. I would not live and even travel to North America, that asked people if they are communist and refuse them visas. Moreover you have to pay them more than 100€ to ask for a visa and they keep the money even if they refuse the visa. I was once at their embassy ( for my wife who visited a cousin..). We have been treated very badly and I couldn't stand it. I was shocked how other people would accept it. The same at the Italian embassy ( not for myself). About Canada ( 2000) I sent fax to my wife in Toronto : her cousin asked me to stop to write because I criticized the government and system and it could drive to problems for him. One month later, a letter arrived from Canada. It was sent by their intelligence service that sent me back all my letters with red marks and a lettet from them telling they intercepted and read all my mails ! Later the cousin left Canada and USA where he had been a professor. He couldn't stand racism, mentality, inquisitive régim.... On the contrary, I was at.the mexican embassy : well, what a nice woman ! Friendly ! I was amazed and then in Mexico ( I spent 35 days in this magic and wonderful country with marvellous people ( south and center, in Monterrey I was at my sister's friend and pupil, a nice girl who falled in love with me but wrote it in Spanish allas I didn't speak Spanish and didn't marry her by the way..- it's only several years afterwards that I understood something like : Cuidado a ti..porque yo te quiero muchissimo. It was written in the book she gave me : a lexical of mexican words ( chocoatl , aguacate, tomatl, ...). I was fascinated by this country ( more than by the girl ..). But too late ! A friend of mine have spent 3 years as a teacher in Providence ( near Boston). She couldn't believe the lack of rights at work. They could fire you asa they decide and for reason. She had the French rebel mind and couldn't stand how her colleagues accepted to be treated that way. No healthcare and she used to wait to come in France for holiday... Her friends were not American - too different and she was fed up with wokism ( as malagasy , they considered she had to follow the so called woke thinking. Her best friend was a Mexican girl who invited her familly : very very nice family who treated her.as their daughter. All her friends were non American teachers or students ( mostly Latinos or Europeans or Africans but no African Americans ). And then she came back to Europ, fed up. ...she cen spezk Russizn.

Гордость) просто задумайтесь как у нас стало офигенно - столько возможностей, столько новых сервисов, которые облегчают жизнь появились! Всевозможные доставки, электронные госуслуги (нигде в мире нет такого, Европе такое снится вообще), бесплатная медицина и образование, а также куча всего платного и лучшего качества - есть деньги можешь и заплатить, а гдето даже если они есть просто нет всего этого (запись к врачам по полгода, качество услуг плохое и дорогое, не зря ж к нам даже зубы едут делать). Была в 15 странах и точно знаю - лучше России нет нигде. Мы везде будем чужие, только здесь наш дом. И он становится все лучше - и на это приятно смотреть. Все либералы и несогласные - идите мимо, уезжайте в другие страны и там извиняйте за то, что вы русские, а мы останемся и будем жить дома🫶🏻
