Most of you saw how Russians helped me in Moscow, but would they also help an American in a remote Russian village?! I decided to find out and prove that Russians can help tourists even in the middle of nowhere. I ended up in a village called медведь or ‘bear’ and it really felt like a ghost town at first. All we could see was an abandoned military complex, babushka houses, and a small supermarket…I had no idea how I was going to get help, I couldn’t even find someone to ask! Do Russians even speak English here? How will they understand me? I also needed to somehow find a ride back…So did Russians help an American in a village or does that only happen in Moscow? Did Russians fit the stereotype of being cold and unfriendly? Watch and find out!
