I am on my second one, I love the ecodiesel! A few things with them, oil changes at 4-5k with quality oil. Modern diesel engines with emissions need lots of hwy miles to get warm and operate correctly. Lots of short trips will harm the truck. Pleanty of folks in the 300-400k mile range on the forums

In Canada sometimes all the emissions fall off on bumps might be off road tune

@@BoostedMotorsports I definitely agree with that bro...I see perfect high optioned ecodiesels on marketplace with blown engines all the time for $5-7K. That engine always kinda worried me....she would be much happier with a HEMI 🔥🔥 especially, since you are so far away to be able to fix it...

I paid 13 for a 2010 slt with the 5.7 and 122k miles so it sounds like a good deal but idk enough about the eco diesel. Would love to see the Hellkota at auto cross and road course events

If it's something covered under the FCA extended warranty, I'd pick it up. I've had thousands of dollars (USD) covered for mine. New intake manifold, EGR cooler, HPFP, to name a few. I have the complete history of repairs if you'd like to see the copies. However, I don't know if it was deleted. I'd assume it voids any warranty.

I really like my eco Diesel. But I'm on my second engine with just 100k miles. It has more power and better mileage than the hemi but I wouldn't by either one again.

Bought my 2018 eco with on 54000km on it drove it 90 km and blew it up, Dodge covered it and replaced the motor. Have about 7000 km on it since with about 3000 of those Km pulling an RV. I love the fuel mileage that I get towing and highway. My only complaint is that the exhaust really stinks, not really sure why. And no it’s not a diesel smell, this isn’t my first diesel.

I would buy it. For the price with airbags. You can get a new engine for 7k reman or have that one rebuilt. I’m new to your channel. Can you post a link for your other channel? I can follow both.

Try some fresh gas? If it's a dealer truck it is possible that some water and condensation is in the tank. Looks like water since it appeared to evap really quick

It was a diesel smell from the exhaust smoke. Apparently in a diesel if the fuel timing is off or it’s running lean it will blow white smoke not black 🤷‍♂️

I have a 2013 ram 1500 that came with 5.7 6 speed 4x4 but I am looking to swap it for the 8 speed and keep the 4wd if possible. Any recommendations on where to find the trans? I have a local shop

Nope on the eco diesel. Better off in a hemi truck. The air suspension is a pain too. Great when they work but when (not if) they croak it’s a costly repair to have it back. Also I have owned a eco diesel before RAM’s diesel gate and after and it killed the power. I can only imagine how bad a deleted exondi del would be.

Being a business owner is a 24/7 grind you have to work the pay if you want to play... that's what I was saying to you when you were back in Cali building the hellkota ....you can't build them all and as you have found out there's plenty of work out there if you want to do it or take it on......we would all like to spend the day at the track everyday it's all about balance... and from what I hear it's going to get harder on the you tube economy is starting to tank and advertising is starting to slow down their spending. I watched one of your videos last week or two weeks ago and every 2 mins it had a commercial 12 advertisements in 24-28 mins it took almost 40+ mins to watch the video then this video not one advertisement.....so they going to start playing with your payday...... it's getting wacky out there Jon keep your eyes open brother.👍👌✌️

Yeah it’s definitely a weird setup. I have no control over the ad placement at all and something is odd with this channel. This video only has 2k views at the time of writing this yet there’s 165k people that are supposed to be notified of a new video you would expect some portion of that would click on it. Very strange

This didn’t smell sweet like coolant it had a heavy diesel stink and apparently if the fuel timing is off or it’s running lean it will smoke white on a diesel. That’s why I have mixed feelings on it

It's probably tune related since it's deleted. Depending on who did the tune it could be a complete garbage tune. Like every platform there are good tuners and bad tooners. I love mine that has about the same mileage as that one and it has no issues being deleted. The price seems really good and the dealer may come down some more when you point out the MIL, inop seat heat (probably a broken grid) and other items.

When someone starts a youtube channel. They typically focus on some niche. In your case. Fixing up mopars and hemi swaps. This is why I followed you and I am sure most are the same. You switch it up to racing, it's a top I have zero interest in. So you will lose a bunch of us customizer types but I am sure you will make it up with the racing type of people. As for that truck. If it's for your mom, get her something way more reliable. It's your MOM. I wouldn't want my mom in some unknown vehicle rishing being broke down. Especially if I can't get to her.
