My mom was a single mom since early '90s. Lost my dad in a war. There is ten years difference between my brother and me. I was 11 he was 1. It was miserable. She worked 6 days a week, 12 hours a day 2 low paying jobs. She never even thought about remarrying. That was out of respect and love for our father. And because she was afraid how will other man treat my brother and me.

It sounds like she was widowed. If that's the case, she is vastly different than single moms (never married to the kids' father). Widows are held in much higher regard as they were part of a family unit until they lost their husbands. I believe the vast majority of men feel genuine sympathy for widows. God bless them.

@@patrickpeters298 my experience was different. My dad was Bosniak, his paternal ancestors were Muslims. My mom was a Serb. We were forced to leave Bosnia and the only place we could go to was to her parents in Serbia. Her brother and his wife hated us. My father was not allowed to come with us, and even if he tried he would have been killed. He is registered as civilian killed or missing in war, but his body, and bodies of those that disappeared with him were never recovered. They are still finding bodies of the dead, maybe one day. In Serbia, and to some degree in the US, everyone viewed as a potential burden. We were lucky my paternal Uncle and his family survived. They helped us get refugee visas to the US. Just to add, while in the US, over time we became Christians (although years ago I left). Few people in church told my mom I look to angry. They said, men didn't feel comfortable approaching her. I'm glad. Not that she was ever interested. She found it rude that people even concerned themselves with something that was none of their business.

@RustyBoysGaming even for long term, if a single mother wanted a long-term boyfriend without legal paperwork, she’d be much more successful at dating. When my mother's life went south, she did find a man stupid enough to be there for me, my sibling, and her. He actually was a second father (my father was somewhat involved), taught me computers, took me out to hang, really inspire me to pursue engineering. Your dad this your dad that, make sure you look at me as good and look at your dad as bad. It got old, man. I just started throwing my hands up and saying "hey that's between yall, because him and me don't have beef." But it also gave me an inside look at how it works for many women. You what know the sad thing about all this is? There are women that are going to read this and the only thing they'll take away from this is "Just be sneakier than her and don't get caught." That's the fuel that keeps a lot of guys coming back to this content. Women (single mothers) see themselves as the hero of their own story and can't let that go for anything. That's the legacy of feminism that we get to be left with.

There's nothing wrong with being with a single mom if you like her and she's owned up to her mistakes and gotten better. I mean there are some single moms that would make better mothers and wives than some of the non single moms who just so happened not to get pregnant or who aborted their pregnancies. I'd love to see the verses where it is established that eating shrimp, wearing mixed fabrics, disobedience, or breaking the sabbath are capital offenses. (Spoiler alert, they don't exist.) If you're gonna criticize a religion, maybe don't be dumb about it. It doesn't help your cause. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms you could levy, but when you just demonstrate that you're ignorant and probably parroting things you've heard without actually looking into it you're not gonna do well. Edit: I've just realized that you possibly mean the Saturday thing to only apply to the collecting of firewood, and simply didn't use commas to separate out the previous offenses.

Bro, I feel for you, damn near the same situation but I did have a father. There is NO upside to getting married much less getting involved with anything that has to do with a single mother. 1. You're at best 3 or 4 priority wise. 2. You will be a financial resource 3. The kids more than likely won't like you or respect you because you're not their dad 4. (My personal favorite) The dad who is given the opportunity to see his kids, the kids know the mother is the reason for their father not being around, this is more true if you have boys. Boys will eventually grow up to be men, and men generally don't gravitate to their mothers when they're older. Moral of the story, single mothers have nothing to offer a man who is childless and has kids of her own, especially now-a-days.

I like her salesman tactic. "No one cares if you don't want this boat, this boat does not want you." Then goes into a few things why owning a boat is terrible and so hard to manage and maintain... at least with a real boat you can go fishing with it

Most of these females will be with a good man, even for years and have a kid but once when that kid comes, she forces the man out of the house and make it seem like everything he did why the guy is wondering "WTF just happen" she plays victim and tells everyone that he abandoned her, abusive and all the names and go after him for child support and other crap and then don't let the dad see his kid then she goes online and cries about how hard it is to be a single mother, when she had a man who was going to be there. This happens all the time.

I don't think single moms are trash. I just don't want to raise another man's children.

Just went through this, and left her. She wanted none of my influence on her son. So I was like why should I stay? A man will become involved w the woman’s kids. If she’s telling her child the opposite of what you say, if she does not allow you influence them, it’s not going to work. Especially a woman’s son.

They spend what they get from child support on THEMSELVES!!! Then they come after the baby daddy for more money, accusing him of being a deadbeat dad, when in reality she was embezzling the kids' money for herself. I recently saw one case where a woman demanded he pay for their college education -- when, in fact, he had been paying her money specifically designated to be saved for their college education. In 15 years she had never saved any of the college money that her ex had given her.

To single moms Did you understand that responsibility of your choices, and that any physical activities you engage in should be with a person you want to marry, and more importantly they want to marry you. Single Men, are not responsible for correcting a single moms mistake, especially if she doesn't listen.

Those women believed men who deceived them and used them for sex. Women get forced by sex to men, trust men and then get blamed on too....gosh...men do so many horrible things to women.

There's ZERO reason to be involved with a single mother. They chose to have kids and leave the father out of it. It takes 2 to tango, but by 18, you know right from wrong and the consequences of your actions.

Single father of three here. Their life is difficult because they chose to make it this way. Never been stressed, tired......or made a video to complain about it. Put your big girl pants on ladies.

Preach brother, raising a child isn't as stressful as these single mothers make it out to be. It's mostly because of them, wanting to go back to their previous life (before the kids) quietly or openly.

Dating a single Mom is just more work for less. More of your time/resources for less of hers, obviously it varies in degrees from mom to mom, but it is ALWAYS the case.

No right to expect a man to resume another man's save file. That mom only cares about herself and her child, nobody else. Another man is a means to an end.
