TTMIK uses this form at the end of Real-Life Korean Conversations: Intermediate. “제주공항에는 면세점 있으니까 올 때 쇼핑 마음껏 하렴.“ 😃

전 한국 사람 인데요. 려무나 이런 말은 잘 사용안해요^^. 거의 안쓴다고 생각 하면돼요. 먹으려무나 -> 먹어,먹어라, 먹거라, 먹어요 등등 마음대로 하려무나(X) -> 마음대로 해, 마음대로 해라, 마음대로 해요

In my audio car training I remember this sentence "얘들아, 너희들의 아빠는 어디 계시니?" It seems like the 니 ending would go hand-in-hand with 려무나 would you agree?

~니 is a different ending, and is similar to the ~냐 ending. It tends to get used more often by females than by males, although it's also used by males.

@@GoBillyKorean I did a little more research and got this answer from chatGPT: "It's possible for a mother to use the command form of "려무나" with the ending "-니" when speaking to her child. As I mentioned earlier, the ending "-니" is a casual and informal way to form a question, and it is often used in conversation between family members or people who are familiar with each other. It would also be possible for a mother to use the formal or polite form of "려무나" with the "~시다" ending. Additionally, It is also worth noting that The context, tone of voice and relations of people are important factors to decide the level of politeness and formality in the Korean Language."

@@JamesTermy The ~니 ending can of course be used to children, as can the (으)려무나 form, although the forms themselves aren't related or used together in the same sentence (since ~려무나 itself ends the sentence, and ~니 also ends the sentence). It's funny how the AI's explanation seems to make perfect sense when you first look at it, except it doesn't actually know about Korean so it made a mistake with explaining the politeness levels :D Interesting!

@@GoBillyKorean I finally understand thanks, ~러무나 ends the sentence (I missed that initially). I can see why my question statement was confusing, and the AI may have made another mistake with this sentence example. 아이야, 이제 저녁식사를 하러 가려무나시다. :D
