Some kids get killed when standing up to bullies. Some bullied kids will kill the bully and ruin their freedom. Kids today dont fight anymore. There is a good chance things can escalate and guns can be involved. Especially in todays time. I seen 2 families thats been beefing since the 90s before i was even born. They pretty much wiped eachother out.

Everyone’s caping for the other parent and his “pride”, but if his daughter would have stopped then it wouldn’t have gotten to this point. What about the pride of the man whose daughter was being bullied, having to explain why you can’t fix the problem and basically being helpless. Watching your child suffer. Tbh forget that other child’s feelings. Everyone is overlooking the actual victim of this situation.
@questionnyc

They’re just saying that that dad’s pride might be hurt. And if the kid is acting a certain way, especially if it’s because the parents aren’t the best, then the man might act even more negatively with that kid. Kids become bullies the worse their home life is

@kristianluciano How does what you've said apply to my statement? The kids being 7 have absolutely nothing to do with the adults at hand. Per the actual video of the dad, he took SEVERAL steps to try and resolve the situation before it escalated to violence. I assume you must not have kids, because as a parent, why would any parent sit back and continue to see and hear about their child being bullied? ESPECIALLY after you've already had a convo with the parents of the bully. Them hands were the most appropriate action left.

Being mature is realizing that kids tend to be bullies because their home life is bad. That kid could be getting verbally, mentally, or physically abused. Envy please 🙄...man said he tried everything...and it led to an a$$ whoopin...I highly suggest the other parent get control over his child. Because if he can't control his child at age 7..he has bigger problems on his hand than getting jumped. And truthfully, the school should have had that other child suspended. This is a result of when you try to go about things the "right" way and nothing happens. Cause the only other option left was to just let the daughter get bullied. I understand where the dad is coming from but I wouldn't have jumped him. If you gone fight, it should have been just one on one.

I think schools need to do a better job of protecting kids as well. It's obviously the parents responsibility to raise their kids but it's the schools responsibility also to create a safe environment for the child while in their care. If you're dealing with a child whose parents aren't responsive, they need to be disciplined in some. When I was in school, kids would be removed from class, sent home, in house suspension etc. What measures did the school take before all of this took place?

My child is being bullied. I have spoke to his teacher, security, the vice principal, principal and a councilor has been assigned to my son. The school will not allow me to know who the child’s parents are. They won’t let us meet out of fear that we will fight. I would not fight, I just want to make sure they are aware of what their child is doing. I don’t t think the school does enough to stop it.

Gangsta, Gangsta!!! That father wasn’t playin. But the schools & teachers need to really handle those situations when parents come to them. Sometimes some teachers allow it to happen or don’t want to do nothing.

Years ago I had to check a child for bullying my oldest son. It was in front of the bully's friends which embarrassed him even further! That bully didn't bother my son anymore 💯💯💯💯

Bruh this is so timely. I just watched a reel of a Latin parent versus an American parent on how to deal with bullies and lets just say the Dominican father is point on.

@kristianluciano And? What does that have to do with that father making an example out of the other one, because one refused to parent his child, which in turn has negatively affected the other? Bullying is TAUGHT. So I dont feel bad for that dude or his daughter. Teach your children better. 💯👑

The parents are bullies themselves and don’t reprimand their children because they think that sh*t is cool. Sometimes hands have to get thrown, but same as I tell my child defend yourself and that’s what I will do. I’m an adult and I’ll act as such

Exactly... not only did this man not attempt to have a conversation with him but he brought somebody else into their business up at the school to send a message? Messages not received now you’re getting ready to pick up what I’m about to put down.

That caller from SC tripping. If he went through every possible channel and nothing worked what else is a MAN SUPPOSED TO DO TO PROTECT HIS SEED? Everyone not with the diplomacy and some parents are ready to die or go to jail for their kids.

No this is wrong! If you have tried to speak to the parents first to address it, then it changed things but if the parents were made aware first and answered with aggression than it changes things!

His actions only shows me that the only reason he cares is because his child is the victim 🤷🏿 If he his child was winning he wouldn’t care. Because he resorted to violence too too fast

What if the parent of the bully decides to do nothing about their child after talking with them? Or better yet... what if they cosign their child's behavior?

I believe they missed a very important part of this conversation bulling can lead to a child not wanting to be here the fear, intimidation are real so much goes on in these schools if the Father followed all the steps and did repeatedly then the school & system let him & his daughter down that they shouldn’t be put in that position every child has the right to go to school and not be bullied horrible things are being done daily the affects of repeated bullying are life long

Teach your kids how to fight back! If they don’t stand up to the bully, they will continue to get bullied throughout their school years and even as an adult.

I don’t think yall understand that some kids parents are just assholes and don’t care what their kids are doing outside of their home. We don’t know if the parent upheld his kid being a bully. Did we not watch the movie Matilda?!?! 😆 but for real some parents are just like that at home

Most of these folks never seen the video. That man did communicate, through letters sent to the home and multiple meetings with the parents. Violence is wrong but he wasn't totally wrong for doing this either, he was protecting his daughter.

If he went through all of the proper channels and that didn’t help, then he did what he had to do. Now what if this story was reported as the guy went through all of the proper channels after his daughter was bullied and then his kid committed suicide or something like that? What would we be saying then? Who would be to blame? Sometimes people gotta get what’s coming to them. Oh well. If that kid catch hands from the dad being embarrassed, oh well. Where’s the mother? What is she doin got stop her kid from bullying others? Now they’ll know what it feels like to be bullied each day. They should know better. These kids know what they doing by a certain age. Sad situation but the school should be done more to help before it got to this.

Should’ve taught his daughter better.I can’t do nothing to the child. But it’s your responsibility to teach your kid’s respect. So I will will teach you respect. And all he showed his daughter is stand up for yourself and I will always stand for you.

Sadly enough I just saw on X, that a 10 yr old boy killed himself due to bullying, 10yrs old. I went to school in the 80’s & 90’s and what ever was going on in school stopped @ 3pm, not like today where bullying is 24/7 due to social media. This is a super difficult topic because kids are killing themselves because of it. I feel, go through the proper channels first, communicate with the school but talking to the bullies parent is a must and if the authorities need to get involved do so, to create a paper trail showing the history of attempts to make this right. Then and only then I feel if nothing gets resolved do what u feel is right to make this right, because at this point no one can blame u for going John Q for your child!
