Per the actual video of the dad, he took SEVERAL steps to try and resolve the situation before it escalated to violence. I think schools need to do a better job of protecting kids as well. It's obviously the parents responsibility to raise their kids but it's the schools responsibility also to create a safe environment for the child while in their care. If you're dealing with a child whose parents aren't responsive, they need to be disciplined in some. When I was in school, kids would be removed from class, sent home, in house suspension etc. What measures did the school take before all of this took place?

My child is being bullied. I have spoke to his teacher, security, the vice principal, principal and a councilor has been assigned to my son. The school will not allow me to know who the child’s parents are. They won’t let us meet out of fear that we will fight. Most of these folks never seen the video. That man did communicate, through letters sent to the home and multiple meetings with the parents. Violence is wrong but he wasn't totally wrong for doing this either, he was protecting his daughter.

If he went through all of the proper channels and that didn’t help, then he did what he had to do. Now what if this story was reported as the guy went through all of the proper channels after his daughter was bullied and then his kid committed suicide or something like that? What would we be saying then? Who would be to blame? Sometimes people gotta get what’s coming to them. Oh well. If that kid catch hands from the dad being embarrassed, oh well. Where’s the mother? What is she doin got stop her kid from bullying others? Now they’ll know what it feels like to be bullied each day. They should know better. These kids know what they doing by a certain age. Sad situation but the school should be done more to help before it got to this.

Should’ve taught his daughter better.I can’t do nothing to the child. But it’s your responsibility to teach your kid’s respect. So I will will teach you respect. And all he showed his daughter is stand up for yourself and I will always stand for you.

Sadly enough I just saw on X, that a 10 yr old boy killed himself due to bullying, 10yrs old. I went to school in the 80’s & 90’s and what ever was going on in school stopped @ 3pm, not like today where bullying is 24/7 due to social media. This is a super difficult topic because kids are killing themselves because of it. I feel, go through the proper channels first, communicate with the school but talking to the bullies parent is a must and if the authorities need to get involved do so, to create a paper trail showing the history of attempts to make this right. Then and only then I feel if nothing gets resolved do what u feel is right to make this right, because at this point no one can blame u for going John Q for your child!
