Its pretty accurate really. Herbivores are not defenseless like nature docus like to say. A good kick from a deer can outright end a wolf. Rabbits claws are sharp enough to do serious damage if they're backed into a corner. Every engagement with a prey animal is a risk to a carnivores life in the same way it is for the prey animal.

And this about perfectly sums up carnivore dinosaurs. Not vicious movie monsters but the dudes who got the shortest end of the stick in life. Days of never getting a single bite of food, and then when it finally shows up you lose your eye and almost your life because your food can actually fight back, that is if you even got to it before it ran away like Sonic the Hedgehog. Then another couple weeks pass and you finally get a chance again and the only food available has enough spikes, clubs, horns, and unyielding Canada Goose-Rage to make you really wonder if you're actually at the top of the food chain.

Fun fact: fossil evidence shows a proportional increase in body size of the T. Rex and the head/horn size of the triceratops throughput the maastrichtian period. Which suggests that they were in an evolutionary arms race, with the triceratops being a preferred prey species, and evolving a larger and more dangerous head to prevent the t rex from biting the neck, and the t rex become and more and more powerful to continue to be able to kill the triceratops (possibly by using is strong jaw and neck muscles to pry off the skull plate)

🤓☝️ well ackshually, if these theropods are Allosauruses (implied from the original post), then they wouldn't have seen the parasaurolophus and triceratops, as those appeared during the late Cretaceous, while Allosaurus and Stegosaurus were Late Jurassic dinosaurs.

To be fair her complaint about being carnivore is legit in the real world too. All animals have specific designs to help protect them from predators which means if you are a wild carnivore you have to deal with crazy defense mechanisms and other predators.

The idea of them pointing to some of the most dangerous herbivores of their time. Wow there's literally two perfect prey animals in front of them is beyond me😂 Like the animal that's in front of them is very fast but it really has no defenses besides warning each other and being semi-aquatic and speedy

I assume you’re talking about the parasaurolophus? Know that they could range anywhere from, depending on the species, 3 to 13 tons in size. They are nowhere near defenseless, they have plenty of weapons.

There's two of them and they're 13 ton animals with the body shape that makes it easy to use that weight to fight. also semi aquatic? that's like the 1800s level of understanding
