Evening Grey. Very nice kit. I had the honor of taking care of my dad for a couple of years before he died last year. He had developed a wound before ioved him in with me. He had a seizure and fallen, was bed ridden for a long time and developed a wound on his backside he developed in the hospital that had to be operated on as the infection went into the bone. Wound care is expensive and I have probably enough left over to fill five of those buckets. It took close to a year to get his wound healed. It is an everyday job, multiple times a day to give correct care. He did heal up before he passed, but was bed ridden for a year after. He was 92 when he went and i know he hated being bed bound. There is so much more than just putting medication and a bandage on. Great video.

Absolutely, brother. I think many folks just don't get that the aftercare is truly as important as that immediate care. Have been in the medical field in the past, I know this first hand. During the cv19, medical supplies skyrocketed or were non-existent. Stay safe! 🙏

Unless you've done after-wound care, you don't realize how much gauze, tape, etc. that you'll go through. We went through box after box of wound care kits after the spouse had surgery. Also, buy now before prices go up, because the kits I bought from Walmart for $5 are now $8.64. Buying bulk from Refuge Medical is a great way to ensure you have what you need and helps support the work of Grindstone Ministries rescue program, which is still helping the Helene victims. God bless.✝

I am 57 and never got burned cooking until this summer ! Got a nasty burn from a freak accident. Really burned my arm bad the pharmacy told me about gel burn shields . They saved my skin. No scaring . It would have been a nasty infection without proper care. I hate to say I did not have what I needed.
@GreyManPrepping2 ай бұрын
@Ann_Palmer Well, I'm sorry to hear that happened to you Ann, the only positive thing I can say about it is you learned from that experience as I have with accidents and experiences I've gone through myself. It's like the old saying goes better to have it and not need it then to not have it then need it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening, and have a blessed weekend! 😊🙏

I thought I had a good supply of first aid stores. That was until I got burned. One a week to wound care and dressing changes twice a day eats up supplies fast. I was 3 months before I was cleared by wound care. What I'd add: First Coban or some type of cohesive bandage. Second, after dealing with an long term burn, is saline solution or the salt and water to make your own. However, I wouldn't store liquid with all that dressing even though they are in plasic bags.
@GreyManPrepping2 ай бұрын
@andrewgarrison3485 Great suggestions, and I'm glad folks who have dealt with wound care firsthand are chiming in because I truly believe most folks just don't get how important supplies like these are, especially if there's an incident where things are limited or unavailable. Thanks for sharing, Andrew! 👍

I wouldn't pay $50 for that "bucket" let alone $150. DELUSIONAL price...
@GreyManPrepping2 ай бұрын
@hoosiermama16 I'll be honest with you I tried to build this out myself, and the cost was much more, not even including the bucket. Plus, Refuge Medical is part of Grindstone Ministries, which has done so much for the folks that were affected by Hurricane Helene! That being said I rather give these folks money for quality products as they inturn help so many people vs. cheap Amazon garbage that helps no one. 🤷
