This documentary has taken four years back. The same thing has happened two weeks before. Greedy manush didn't care about the nature mother. Those who do that kind of abuse to the mother nature they never get affected. Only those poor people and the labourers are getting affected.it's a nice documentary. Thank you The Hindu. ❤

I'm from Idukki and I can say the day time temperature are getting extremely high and nights are getting extremely cold. The tree cover is decreasing day by day. We used to have paddy fields now the land is just barren, several landslides have occurred near to our ancestral house all because of the loss of tree cover and soil mining..!

This documentary stands apart by way of its rich scientific content, aesthetic beauty of the frames and multi-dimensional approach on the need for balancing sustainable development with conservation of natural resources. With no river sand, Msand is the alternative now. So a different construction technology is required to reduce the demand for Granite.

Thank you The Hindu team, this documentary lighten the environmental ignorance in many minds, and initiate a process among people to team up against unsustainable environmental policies. The present governments are acting like colonial powers. For Colonial governments the only focus is the profits for their mother country at the cost of colonies. Similarly present governments are treating the Forests as their colonies. Making poor environmental and unsustainable policies is not less than the British rule. The freedom struggle against the deforestation has begun, and this triggering incident is not less than 1857 sepoy mutiny, but now the sepoy is the mighty Wester ghat. More than politicians it's the people who get effected by Nature's fury.

But at the same time it is scary and saddening to see our home getting destroyed into pieces. 😭😭😭 If the authority itself is negligent how we common people could survive the harsh consequences. Still , every year even this year 2021, landslides have become a common event and people are losing their lives and homes. It will be you and me getting affected anytime in the future. 😭

Kerala completely rejected madhav gadgil report on westren ghat. They said they will loose economic importance if we declare eco sensitive zones. They are not measuring the impact of economic loss due to floods. Rightly pointed out by Madhav gadgil "complete lawless ness of state". 100% literacy rate state is doing like this.
