Many thanks for the video. Are you still planning on doing a fuller review? I would love to see it. Simon

So what happened to the actual review?
@RSLtreecare2 жыл бұрын
A very nice review, I like this watch. I have been looking at Sinn watches for a long time. The UX seems remarkable, it would fit perfectly into outdoor life. Take care.

Is the review still forthcoming? If you still have the piece it would be great to hear your thoughts on it.

the reason that watch got quartz movement is it filled with oil and mechanical watch doesn’t have enough torque to move the hands. about the tiny bubble inside it’s to help orientation during extreme diving . it’s extremely well designed watch
@breadring4 жыл бұрын
If the watch happens to DEVELOPE a bubble it's got nothing to do with helping orientation.

I unboxed mine today and the second hand doesn't line up nicely like that one. Also there's a tiny tiny tiny tiny speck of something floating around in the oil, takes a while sometimes to find it because it moves all around the dial, but it's always there somewhere. Oh well.
@kevinhernandez19843 жыл бұрын
Did you return it to sinn?
@Sporkmaker51503 жыл бұрын
@@kevinhernandez1984 No, I considered it but decided it's not serious enough. I'll live with it until it's time for a battery change.

Gute Arbeit bei der Bewertung. Ich denke wirklich über diese Uhr nach. Prost!

A little late to the party but the bracelets for the U family are standard 316L, not the same U-boat steel as the case. Awesome watch nevertheless.

Congrats and nice watch. Mine is on its way back to me from Germany for a battery and slight modification. 😊

Awesome! What modification are they doing?

I had the second hand changed from white to red like the regular ux. The gsg 9 has all white hand set.

Great watch, only drawback is the outside ar coating and the service cost. 250 euro for a battery is rather expensive.
@davewilton31013 жыл бұрын
This cost divided by 8 years to me is acceptable. About 20 years ago I bought an Breitling Aerospace and as every couple of years I had to send it in to Breitling for a battery change. Then if I remember correctly it was over $200 Cdn and took up to 3 months. Still got the Aerospace and now have a local guy who changes the batter for a very reasonable cost. I'm seriously considering a UX. Thanks for this review.
@drmanhattan225 Жыл бұрын
I think 250 euros every 8 years is better than 400+ every 3, plus having to potentially deal with regulation issues in between then time frame.

Beautiful tool watch. I've been looking for a used U1 for quite awhile now. Having a hard look at this watch in the meantime since I have seen a few go up for sale. I'm not a big quartz fan, but this one is a beast to say the least!!

I have the same watch and my bezel doesn’t screw in and i thought it would... does yours??? I haven’t been able to find an answer
@danielmewes6 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you mean by screw in. Sinn's "captive bezel" is like a regular dive bezel in how you use it. However the way it is attached to the watch body is through screws, rather than pressure fitted like most other bezels. Supposedly that makes it impossible to pop off it something hits against the bezel or gets caught under it. Does that answer your question? Personally, I've never heard that the bezel coming off is a real problem on high-quality dive watches, and I think spring-bar failure is the much bigger problem when diving, if at all. Anyway, I'm sure the Sinn method is more robust and that's a good thing.

I own one and had 2 issues. Purchased in January 2018. 1st time bubbles issues. 2nd time crown problem. Very disappointed and expected so much more from UX model. SINN Support is good. Stainless steel and all that submarine technology, tough watch, very good quality. Not looking to discourage you maybe is just general issue with that model. I think best is just avoid SINN HYDRO models.
@breadring4 жыл бұрын
Should have sent it back under the warranty.

@@breadring i am still wearing it. I just love my watch. Was defected but quickly resolved by excellent SINN support. No issues. Top quality no questions about it.

What do you think about a new watch Christopher Ward C60 Trident Chronograph 300 43 mm Quartz ?. Are you going to do a review?
@mikaeinhannen42466 жыл бұрын
A "divers watch" with a less than 50 bucks low level quartz from Ronda for +500€ end price doesn't deserve any review i guess..

Is it just me or does the second hand seem to move backwards slightly with each tick

I just bought the di-modell chronissimo leather strap (made in Germany too!) for my Sinn U1. It looks exactly like the Sinn leather strap; probably is. Got it on Amazon/Holbein's for $55. Absolutely love the new strap as it has made me fall in love again with my Sinn U1. I was even considering selling it since I never wore it on the metal bracelet as it was too heavy for my comfort.
@breadring4 жыл бұрын
Weird listening to the letter S being pronounced as a Zeeee, I would not wear this watch with a nato strap as it makes the watch top heavy making the watch wanting to slide downwards all the time, wearing it with the bracelet evens the weight out correctly.
@temujinadonijah63654 жыл бұрын
Am trying to like these watches but the bezels are too busy as is the watch face... It must cost a fortune if that oil leaked or glass smashed!

Just got myself the GSG 9 EZM 2B. I needed a full year to get a rid of paying 2500 euros for a quartz watch but i really dont regret it, it's an amazing piece of technology. As i was working in Frankfurt, i could take it from the headquarters in Sossenheim: suckmypic.net/Xl71ea9r.jpg
