Aranya, in the past few years, has made it its mission to revive fine-count Jamdani weaving.
Here is a short documentary showcasing the research and development we have been putting together in an attempt to recover this lost art - a celebration of our Bangladeshi heritage.
Aranya believes in responsible living. Thank you for always supporting us and our craft communities.

A year? C'mmon, you can do so much to help this world than spending it doing six yards for 365 days, as beautiful as it may be, is ridiculously counterproductive.

This is about an artform and cultural heritage, celebrating and preserving something incredible that humans in one part of the world are capable of doing and have been doing for literally thousands of years. By the same token, with your argument, I'd say scaling Mount everest or running as fast as you can over 100m is also 'counter-productive', however impressive. There are 8bn humans, not all of them have to be explicitly trying to 'help the world' or be 'productive'.

It’s Art and an Authentic process of creating beauty only know in this part of the world. An expression of culture, vision, and technique. 🤦‍♀️ We must preserve these forms of expression and culture that only the people of these areas can share with the 🌍.

@@JazRealEstateBuyer Art? does not mean to spend a year to work on six yards. This type of art has nothing to give to the world, share what? A bullet proof vest is art, but it is also a marvel of engineering. Michael Jordan flying through the air to the hoop it is art, abd skillful. One saves lifes while the other bring people together of all ages and social groups. You have your opinion just like I have mine.

@@psiturbo Absolutely you have all the right to your opinion 💯🙌, but to devalue the preservation of their craft with such an ignorant comment is not nice. These humble people in certain areas of the world don’t have the opportunities people in American have in commerce or real estate or other type of business. So to this community keeping this alive and sharing such an intricate handmade craft is worth it. As well as bringing more education and funding to grow their community and expand their opportunity to trade. Open doors fashion to the industry and keep this very unique technique is beautiful. Especially for very exclusive and unique fashion pieces is great. There are artist that take years to create a masterpiece and at times they may only be able to produce a certain amount of a mastered craftsmanship in their field of expertise. I’m just like yourself having an opinion. No offense 🙏 namaste. I see where you’re coming from especially in a modern world of fast money, consumption and trade. 👍

@@JazRealEstateBuyerArt is not judged, justified or valued by social or economic circumstances. A masterpiece is created for the love of it, not financial conumdrums. You wanna play Mother Theresa, that is on you. Ignorant is your statement that it is.
