I saw him live in Antwerp, no band, just David. There were people watching who didn't knew him before and they where stunned. You can't listen Wovenhand without getting into another state of mind. Once you understand, there is no going back to you're previous live.

This is a long shot, but here goes: does anyone know what the percussion instrument is? Closest I could find is a bodhran... any help would be appreciated! On-topic: amazing song! Never heard anything from Wovenhand before (got here through the video of "Straw Foot" - love 16HP), but I'll definitly check out some other stuff from them.

Frederic Petteloot Looks and sounds a lot like a bodhran (if you don't play it in the "conventional" way), I have a handmade one from ireland (that I bought crazy cheap second-hand) and it sounds a lot like this drum. I know there are some MEINL Hand Drums with synthetic material that sounds similar aswell, probably cheaper than getting a real bodhran with animal skin etc.

Frederic Petteloot You're welcome! My guess is that there's a lot of drums like this from many different cultures with different names (since it's such a basic drum-design), but you can probably get the sound you want with a big bodhran! :)
