Glad to see it worked for you. Being 6'2" it was so bad getting in and out of it, I couldn't pull the trigger. Being that tall, torso biased, getting in and out of it with my preferred seating position couldn't do it. Add in some other issues, no android auto, wind buffeting, and a rubbery manual transmission, I ended up with a Camaro 2SS 1LE that I daily most of the year. Maybe if the MKVI ends up being better, I'll consider it as I always wanted a Supra.

Fair point. However, the purpose of me doing the recap videos is to show that even though my setup is probably something that 99% of owners will never do, the fact that it still runs like a champ and is reliable then STILL puts a smile to my face every single time shows that what everyone says about BMWs being unreliable is false. Hey Shamial! I appreciate it and keep hustling, glad to see you got that drive at a young age. I’m thinking it should go down lower just because of the recession. I would also suggest joining some of the Supra MK5 Facebook groups since some people are offloading their cars at pretty good prices. Anything that old compared to this will be a huge jump for sure. I would say it really depends on how involved you are with building/modifying/maintaining your car. Like if you were to do just bolt on mods, it's actually pretty easy to do it. Turbo kit is much easier than what I was used to in the Subaru platform (EJ and FA). With the wiring though, yeah you would definitely have a harder time because of all the sensors it has. Not saying it's impossible, but much more difficult.

Great question! Just used it on my Subarus and it's familiar to me. Did some research to see how it was like for other BMW motors, and the N54/55 groups had great results with them. Some Bimmerpost users even sent them to Blackstone for testing and got great results from the tests. I change my oil every 5k miles and the high zinc content is good for the motors, especially tuned ones, from what I've researched. I'm no scientist, but Motul is great too. Cost also played a factor in my decision since a 5L container is $50+ (Xcess Gen 2 5W-40). $26 / 3.75L = $6.93 vs $51.86 / 5L = $10.37

When you go over different road textures you can actually feel it from the front wheels through the back. And when you turn the wheels, there is noticeable feedback that comes through the steering. Most improvement seems to be in the back end, the car feels like it can be driven harder with more confidence! I put about 25k miles on my 1st one and I immediately felt the difference in this one. Lolol yup. I drive the hell out of it, but I do plan on keeping it in the long run. Most likely my forever car unless a GT3RS becomes realistic for me lmao

Better to drive it and get your money's worth. You will regret it if for some reason you sell it
