I understand about struggling with greys. My natural color is dark brunette, I have silvers very quickly encroaching. If it weren't for the long, painful growing out phase I would let the silvers win! If we haven't used the BK brushes maybe we will love the Alter Ego brushes.

I love Alter Ego! I have 6 of their palettes and both their OG and their new brush set. Everything is amazing and I'm grateful for quality products that I can afford. I do also own 2 ND mini palettes and 2 BK Beauty brushes so I can appreciate the higher end brands too, but at the end of the day, I have to be discerning with my money when it comes to my favorite creative outlet i.e. makeup! I should just buy that Buttermilk single because I have an Iconic London palette I'm keeping around simply because it has a shade like that that I love...LOL Or I can get off my bum and just depot that shade...

I have two Flower Beauty brushes that I love. I also really like the RT Real Techniques mini travel set. I have small hands and am in my sixties. I find the smaller brushes easy to work with. I was thinking how fabulous your hair looked today, and then you started talking about your roots lol. I finally just let mine go gray. As it was growing out, I would use the blonde Batiste dry shampoo. You might try that in a pinch on days you need a quick fix for your roots. (My mom is 83 and still colors her hair, and says she always will. You need to do whatever makes you feel the best)

I love the Elf duo complexion brush. I own 3 of them, and they work for everything that I use them for. I do have the Angie Hot and Flashy concealer brush and really do like it. I also have some BK Beauty brushes that I really like. I love the BK 109 for foundation. It's absolutely amazing. But alas, they are pricey. Worth it, but pricey. But I am glad there are alternatives out there.

Yeesss. I use that colored spray for a while because I don't want to dye to soon. I have thin hair and that spray thickens it up a bit too. I ran out the other day and used my bronzer to cover up my greys. It worked and looked ok too. But yes the struggle is real. I never thought I would get grey hair or not be able to see small print but it happens.

I ordered the “kitten paw” brush off Amazon and I was not impressed. It was definitely not as dense as I was expecting, so instead of concealer I use it for powder. The prices also seem kind of high to me. Wayne Goss’s new White Gold collection is superior IMO , the brushes are super soft and they are far less expensive.

You're right. Some things work for people and don't work for others. Nomad and Oden's Eye do not work for me. After feeling quite betrayed by some of my favorite KZbinrs, I came to wonder if the issue for me is that my eyelids are more oily. Not like crazy oily but most people I watch say they have dry skin. My cousin has dry skin and likes matte. I struggle more with mattes and love shimmers. She is not a huge shimmer fan. One thing that did work for me that everyone else seemed to hate, TooFaced's liquid lipstick. It was the best I've ever used.

Nobody owns dupes its silly its like that part in the Facebook movie just because I made a chair doesn't mean I owe every man that made a chair money❤😊 if u wanna do it for cheaper so all can own something I'm for that. Alter ego is exactly that too alter ego a dupe brand. I get where u are coming from though it can be super frustrating and cause another brand to lose money so I can understand that😊
