I made a DIY parachute for my Science Class in school and it actually works! Materials: Family sized chip bag, Skippy peanut butter bites container lid, clear packing tape, Q-tip box, and scissors. It's a really nice model of a parachute too! You should try it!

Hmmm...Personally, I think you should’ve added more structural support to the pillars holding up the track; As they are, they look unstable, and I worry that too powerful a launch could yank them out of their resting spot.
