Wow! Azure Coast comes from MILES back to win the UAE 2000 Guineas in Dubai!

Certainly looked unlikely!
Amazing performance at Meydan, where Azure Coast won the UAE 2000 Guineas after coming from way off the pace.
The colt, trained by Russian trainer Pavel Vashchenko, put in a similar performance in December on his first start in Dubai, and he looks to be an exciting prospect!

Always so entertaining to watch hold up horses finishing the race off well! *Rock Of Gibraltar* was one of my all time favourite amongst various top hold up horses in my time. The one I think mostly did not get the right races was the recently retired *Sir Busker*. Not massively near in the top 10, but surely was entertaining to watch his turn of foot. I think he had much more potential than he was able to show and just went bit underrated though won some big prized races. Obviously here I am not going into international picks as there are many stars to mention too.

It was pretty obvious from the way the lead horses took off like it was a quarter mile race and how they got challenged coming out of the bend when trying to settle (Grey horse) that the winner had to come from behind. The speed you burn in the early stages is lost for good in the finish line : there's is no getting away from it. Some people's bad days make other people's happy days.

LOL there is no such thing as a horse race. Everyone is a script. Just look at the slow pace, hard start, hold all the way around a track. Imagine, your a horse and your jock says....GO, they proceeds to hold you back and ride you into the dirt, put his weight all over the place... you will tire out. And then, OH WOW.. from out of the clouds, the 1 lone horse is screaming past em all... its a script folks. Trash industry. Try talking to "jockeys", most will tell you it is all Bull Shit. Most are just morning exercise riders and in the mornings they practice the plan. Better yet, start timing the races, the times are off by seconds every race = 6-10 lengths in a horse running, but it sounds and looks good. Trash industry. So this entire field of TOP horse could barely get around a mile in 1:40, that is not fast by any stretch. I wont even talk about run ups and what not. Just a BS trash industry, it is not a race. And it ends up being a 24 length field of last to first.. ya ok.

They are started too young, ridden to the point of exhaustion, suffer broken legs from their skeleton not having time to develop, shut in a stable for 23hrs and only coming out to train. Yes they are given the best care whilst in the stable but only for the few short years of life then the majority are off to the slaughter house. Thousands and thousands of racehorses are bred each year - where do you think they end up?
