I literally looked up tuna farming because starkist canned tuna says 100 percent wild caught and I thought there is no other way to get tuna they are to big to farm I guess I'm wrong. I'm glad they are farming them because it saves wild tuna population. Every big game fish that we fish for offshore for sport that us also taken for commercial food sakes should be farmed unless it's for very expensive raw tuna dishes other then that keep farming more for me to catch in off shore tournaments

@@letzzzplay5884 I'm glad you agree on farming tuna and other game fish that way we can keep catching them easier and have bigger records for tournaments. We need to make commercial shark fishing legal in the United States. This one pier I like to fish from over here on the Gulf Coast and catch Spanish and king mackerel is over ran with sharks you gotta literally winch and crank the fish in so fast and hope and pray that a shark doesn't take a bite off of it and when you get it close enough to lift onto the pier you gotta flip them up with your rod and line no time for a net of any kind cause sharks will destroy it in seconds,

Is that cannon shooting food to feed tuna or is it baby tuna. And I have had farm raised tuna in Japan on a tour raw right next to a wild bluefin caught same day could not taste smell or feel any difference and I know the one was from that farm cause we watched them pull it out and cut it up right Infront of us. They fed there's with tubes under water and just flipped valves for each tuna pen they wanna feed no boat needed for it besides catching them

So sad. The fish swim in the own waste. They should put the farms in ocean so that waste is spread out. I wouldn't eat the fish.
@FrancisJohnDYbas

Not really... the waste are washed away by the ocean current because they are kept on a very large circullar fishnet. Plus it helps wild tunas that are now endangerd by overfishing.

@@FrancisJohnDYbas they catch juvenile tuna and grow them in pens. They don't allow the juvenile tuna grow and reproduce. They are hurting the species by not allowing the tuna to grow and reproduce. The pens are in a bay and not in the oceans. I have seen diseases on salmon when they swim in these pens.

I'm glad they are farming Bluefin, however, it does not taste nearly as good as wild caught. Farmed Bluefin is not as firm or tasteful.
