Unlock all content including raids and raid layers, bring all content to scale with the current power level, re design raid armor with new ornaments unlocked by challenge modes with new mechanics, new legendary world drops, crucible maps, some new exotics, etc...etc. idk if that will work or if its even possible, but that would help make a definitive version of this game at least. It's also typical. That's how Bungie gets players to want to grind for the weapon and its catalyst. And once the weapon becomes meta, Bungie calls an oopsie, and nerfs it. For anyone who's played Destiny 2 for any considerable amount of time, just consider how many exotics are sitting in your vault gathering dust, and recall the hype that was made when they were first released. Sure, they were victims of power creep; but often it was the result of nerfs to those weapons. For Bungie, it's just rinse and repeat when dropping new exotic weapons.

The biggest issue that franchise sees is the on boarding for new or returning players who have not played the game in a couple of years. I’ve on board over 10 friends on Destiny recently in the past couple months and they all say the same thing they don’t want to go through 1 million quest lines to catch up in the current content. I believe this is always overlooked and it leads to retention if you catch the new players and have something to look forward to the game with you have the retention of players

I think the planetary event should be FWC vs New Monarchy vs Dead Orbit. If your on a planet you can hunt and kill guardians either through bounty or just for being in the area for resources and rewards. Public events, patrols and PvP adds to your faction reputation. Resets weekly and the leading faction has their banner throughout planets, the tower, helm etc.

You can also have a leaderboard for top killers in general/each planet, top hunters/warlocks/titans per faction. Possibly include live sparrow racing league across all planets so people can see planets be alive and fun for reputation/rewards. A unique reward like a flaming head the color of your faction at the end of the season can be cool and not game breaking. Reward for the month can be of the winning factions choosing such as exotic engrams, exotic ciphers, ascendant shards, deep sight harmonizer, pinnacle gear, strange coins, etc

Remember when the crafting glitch came out (which i couldn't do as im on controller btw) and some weapons went nuts and thousands and thousands of players came back ? why .... cos it was fun ! Just make it fun Bungie, if some elites find it too easy so what, for every elite that leaves cos of that hundreds more average players will play, cos its fun !

I have some suggestions to fix this game. Remove minus power and power disabled (it ruins the grind as there is basically no point in getting higher power gear) revert nerfs that made literally zero sense (stuff like YAS and the super refund exotics being limited to 50%) and overall let us have fun again. I keep seeing people like Datto say we are so strong. Would love to know how we are so strong when even he has experienced not only getting one shot even in old well, but doing such little damage that we are basically tickling enemies. Also for the Choir of One, the ammo nerfs could be fine... If special ammo would actually drop. Even with a finder mod I have had runs where I have 90% of the time with no ammo.

@@Noname-ol8ef Yeah... I'm not seeing where that strong stuff is. I have tried strong builds and part of the problem is most of the time they get completely botched by Bungie. I've seen the Still Hunt + Celestial combo and that got instantly butchered. I have tried Prismatic builds and while they can be good, they aren't strong. Only place I can see them as strong is in lower tier activities like maybe strikes. Trying them in harder content just shows how they don't work in the content Bungie makes these days and don't feel good to use in even some older content because Bungie's balance is terrible.

No double jump, no quick lateral movement outside of one thruster charge every minute (it should be two per charge like dawnblade warlock) theyre basicly just slow and sluggish to play. Great abilities but slow as hell. Playing them in pvp feels like youre playing as a disabled character. Everybody bamboozles you with basic movement that you dont even have.

It doesn't need saving but then again i just play crucible. To "save" destiny, it needs a full RESET, everything redone and start again. That's the only way to get new players. Been playing since D1 beta. I've done all the raids, got most exotics, played 1000's of hours. Stopped playing after Lightfall because it got boring. Was finally thinking about coming back but was reading that Bungie is still up to their old tricks. Never seen a company laying off workers and on the verge of shuttering it doors yet still focusing on weapon nerfs. They should be embracing players by making them feel powerful and letting them have fun, instead of patching out every fun exploit and changing weapons. That just pushed me back away again. Fuck 'em. I don't miss that at all.

Heres an idea. Many solo players leave as too much great gear is locked behind multi player content. Raid weapons, for example, should of course be hard to get, no argument. But Raids, Dungeons, dual play etc SHOULDNT be the only way. So ... why not make credits available for solo completing Master level and above activity like Lost Sectors, Strikes and so on? Like spoils of conquest? So a solo player still needs to work very hard and get good to earn enough spoils to buy the gear but the point is they still have access. Some of the best weapons in the game are locked in raids and just aren't available to players who cant team up or don't have the time to learn raids. Remember learning a riad for example isnt just a matter of time taken, but also arranging time to get a team to be together and hard working casual solo players just cannot find that time or slot in their day. For example, I can solo GMs, I can get through master lost sectora and so on ... yet I cant get to raid gear, I will NEVER get Diviniti, I ran LFG for months trying to get Mythoclast yet never did. In fact there is a list of things I will never get to. Yet, I pay the same game fee as everyone else. I don't mind RnG at all, but I can only grind solo so access to raid gear would be a great addition and by all means make it hard work, thats just fine. Give spoils or similar for solo completion of end game content, Master GM and above, master lost sectors, higher mission difficulties. I think thats reasonable.

Dude I love this game so much it’s atmosphere is totally different the music has build up the shooting feels amazing the builds that you can do are crazy and let’s not forget how visually stunning this game looks. I have played destiny since destiny1 and man this game has come along way there has been some up and down. With that being said no other game brings to the table what like destiny. Bungee knows how to give us what we want but they are in a pinch right now. I hope they can come out on top and go back to the forsaken days and blow are minds. The only complaint I can say is the visual emotes for exotic armor and guns being tied behind a pay wall. Some exotic armor looks like trash but if you buy something from the store it looks way better which seems intentionally but I could be wrong. I would like to seen them just make a destiny 3 in the future and get a fresh start. Maybe take us to all the alien planets or maybe just create new characters and get ride of hunter titan and warlocks. No matter what this game will always pull me back into it I will forever love destiny till it comes to an end.

I can’t help but wonder, 10 years, a narrative built on us (the guardians) struggling against a force that we, at the time could barely comprehend. Losing planets and allies alike yet while our enemies seemed to grow ever stronger. The desperation of the traveler made apparent we now make allies of those that were a major threat, all these years leading up to the total destruction of the witness. Instead of a season introducing a new threat that was biding their time waiting for the witness to be destroyed I’d rather have a season of endings, focused on cleaning up what’s left of the enemy factions at least to a certain extent and a season of restoration, focusing on restoring the lost planets, bringing back into the fold those worlds that were taken and restoring the origin system. I already know HALF of what I am asking for is already too much, but it sucks that this ending or at least what was supposed to be the epilogue to this game is almost squandered.

The only thing they could possibly do to recapture my personal investment in the game is remastering all the old raids, campaigns and seasonal storylines. This is content we fucking paid for and I find it concerning how fine the dedicated player base is with letting the status quo be such that the game and everything in it has an expiration date. I want to be able to download Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, create a character, and play the entirety of this 10 year journey we've all been on. I did this with every DLC release in D1. The current business model robs both nostalgia junkies and new players of that possibility and that's like. Most of your market Bungie. WAKE UP

Hot take but here is how to save Destiny, make it a subscription based game, 10USD a month which includes ALL DLC content, make the Season passes 5USD for those who want to get it, and also make it that you can earn silver to buy the next season pass (look at Fortnite which I do not have the latest stats but in 2022 made over 20 billion in revenue just because you can earn the next season pass by just playing the game, and making sure the MTX is not that expensive to entice people to buy them and yes that is a FTP game just saying that in order for Bungie and D2 to survive financially they would need to move into this kind of model as much as MANY people will hate this approach

For anyone who jumps to defend nerfs like this on the basis of "good, it was power creep" just remember that this hole of "power creep" we're in only exists because this game is now 7 years old. So yeah, when the game goes for that long, it's gonna be hard to introduce things that are both new/fun AND balanced. If we want a "balanced" game (wtf that means depends on who you ask btw) then we need a new game. Only problem with that is a bunch of people will complain about losing their gear.

Seems like the concord failure slaped some sense on Bungie and Sony. Meaning, minimum “not over delivering” live service games is no go. Gamers want decent games.
