Wow Classic FRESH 2024 - Priest DUNGEON Healing Guide (Deep Dive)

As a fellow priest main of 10+ years, this is a really good explination of our toolkit. There are a few more things id like to note. Flash Heal R1: I use this for heal sniping and showing off mostly. It costs next to nothing and is easily spammable. Heal R4/GH1: the standard heal for allies that take sing moderate hits like a cleave. GH4: used only on tanks. Always snap cast an instant after (fade on pull, renew otherweise) Renew: never cast solo. Always to be snapped at the end of other spells. Flash Heal max: for stupid mages or emergencies. If on mage, snap a bubble after. Fear: never use if you might pull an additional pack. Even if you are to die, your team may be able to finish the pull, if you pull another pack they will all come to you and also screw the rest of your team. Use either fade, bubble, or the next spell Desperate Prayer: A racial spell that is instant and will heal yourself for a large amount. Amazing self survival to give the tank time to grab the mob (that you hopefully brought to him). Mind Soothe: Very underutilized. Can skip packs with this or help lower levels from aggroing nearby packs on the way by. Never used in combat, but to prevent combat. Mind Vision: Lets face it, people get lost. Memmorize the dungeon and you can use this to see through their eyes and guide them! Be a team player xd Mind Control: Very devisive spell in the community. Not a spell for the new/average player. Can be used to pull with to allow a selected mob to be ganked by the rest of his allies. It can potentially kill a target with no action from your team. Other mobs have useful abilities you can use. Enemy healers are often far stronger than we are. An example is lbrs casters. One of them have a renew that is literally 5x stronger than ours. Last thing to mention, do not cast in melee range EVER. Not only will you get 30% more aggro from it, you will get kicked/shield slammed and locked out of casting. Use instant casts like bubble, fade, renew, desperate prayer. Be mindful of positioning ALWAYS. O, sry for the edits. Last thing. Warlocks are not your peoblem. They have tools to sustain themselves. The most i will ever do for locks is throw a bubble on dumb hellfire users, and renew at end of combat to mitigate their lifetapping. No more. If they die it is on them!

Nice info. I especially agree with what you said about warlocks, as a healer they really suck, especially if they never bandage or drain life. One thing. I don't think being in melee range increases aggro just that you'll pull threat at 110% not 130%.

Cool Summery thx! A question cause of keybind blowt. Do u ever use lesser heal after getting flash heal? Can i just delete it from my action bar?

Don't know if you still check comments here, but I gotta offer my thanks for your guides. I'm a new healer playing in HC anniversary, and the information you provide has seriously upped my healing game. Even being for all intents and purposes a total noob to healing, I've ended up getting whispers from tanks from previous runs on the daily asking me to join their groups. That's thanks to you, PW:H!

Nice, this is exactly the kind of video I was hoping you'd do. I've been priest healing for years and love doing dungeons... but I recently started on HC and I'll take any scrap of info I can get on what makes a good healer. Great to hear some new info but also a bonus to know that apparently I have been doing a few of these priest tricks just on my own through learned experience!

Thank you! Yeah I do use mouseovers and I use macro's for them, but using addons to do it is fine too. I just prefer having less addons.

Clique is extremely easy to set up. Works with whatever UI unit frames you decide to use. Love it.

I think you can do /fsr or /fivesecondrule and it should let you from there. Im not on rn but I can check later.

I tried /fsr (which doesn't do anything), /5secondrule and /fivesecondrule but no luck. It's why I've come here to ask, the documentation on the site I got the addon from was non-existent

@@naomardros Just downloaded the addon. You can move it by typing /fsr unlock. To keep it in place after doing so, type /fsr lock.

Hmm so wait, your not supposed to use lesser heal after 20? 😂 im lvl 31 and using lesser heal with normal heals to top ppl off

It's depends on which one you're using. Lesser heal rank 3 at that level might not be bad, but you have to ask yourself is it worth to interrupt your regen to top someone off, etc. I was more talking about the fact that by the time your level 60 lesser heals are pretty much completely useless.
