I watched this video on my phone muted, and seen people praising the tracklist. I imagined either some metal or electronic music that gives the rythm to this playstyle, but fucking hell, this is just casual music that you would hear in commercial radio or a cafe. That visual animation comes only from the "Redoubt" talent, which activates when you receive a critical strike, so it's nice to have at least one talent point on it, if you not counting your stacks with a Weak Aura addon or something.

is this on a private server? cause reckoning does not work like that at all in classic, not even the /sit works :/

This is from an Original Blizzard Classic Server. The /sit only works if you move away/stand up in time before you got hit. I'm not always lucky with that, but you can practice on a mob very easily. Also the Weapon Swing Timer Addon can help you a lot. You can see at 15:40 I'm trying to gather some reckoning stacks, but not always moved in time. When I got that "Redoubt" talent animation up, only that time I got an extra attack too, not from every crit hit.

@@Skyprey You'll receive a critical strike on you anyway. Basically just before the enemy/mob starting to hit you again. Try to put talent points on "Redoubt" ,so you can see visually when it worked. Because if the Redoubt animation activated, you will also receive an extra reckoning attack. Also try to watch some guides here on YT, there should be some up. I think the old vanilla way got nerfed on Classic at least a year ago already.

Hey Lori Paladin. I was trying to see if anyone played paladin seriously in classic and stumbled apon your channel. Instantly subscribed and started my paladin journey. Question, does redoubt do anything at all for you or do you just have to take it to get to the other talents? Seems so sad literally wasting 5 points. Thanks for the great vid!!

We used to get atleast and usually just 1 point in Redoubt to check our reckoning stacking (animation when critted). I would get the other points in Improved Devo, as that's our main aura as Ret/Reck, and we don't fight with shields much, unless you wanna try some 1hand builds.

It works. If you want to stack up reck bombs early, you just need to trick the /sit with standing up before you got a crit hit. I think there are some videos about this here in YT. But you can see very fast while you pvp-ing with a Rogue.
