Yea let's discuss all the openers in completely random order and show some completely un-related footage along with it. On top of that let's explain to people that after Cheapshot, you have to Kidney shot.

Mage: Sapp-->cheapshot (whitout break)->Ambush->evis->nade->shoot Love your vids, can you discuss it from meeting hardiness perspektive? I do not even bother to stun at this point since the risk of it not landing is to high.

After the ambush you should try to gouge, works only with perfect timing.

Its tough for some fights. rogue vs orc you should always try to sap first and then cheapshot ASAP. if it resists then restealth, resap, and then try again. From my experience, I usually dont miss my kidney after hitting the cheapshot, but if you're scared, then kidney a little early, and if it resists, then you should have enough reaction time to vanish. Vs orc warrior its tough cause if they're in zerker stance. To check that you should just sap and then walk away so they don't shout you out of stealth. Orc shaman while in ghost wolf form you have no choice but to pray that your cheapshot hits. If it resists on the shaman then you *could* try for a quick vanish cheapshot again. Odds are you'll get the stun off the 2nd time

You mention that with combat it is possible to stunlock, but when I open with CS > SS and then I want to Gouge I always don't have enough energy to cast it before the CS runs out. Am I missing something?

The quality of this guide would be a lot higher with some footage of the things you explain. Tbh, having random pvp in the background serves more as a distraction to the things you are trying to say.

Yeah absolutely! I'm working on putting together something with full duels against R14 or top pvpers on my server of each class to actually show and breakdown the fights themselves. This one in particular spawned from mostly people in chat asking about it and running into people in open world pvp messing up their openers.

I think you forget that spriest also has stun removal on pvp trinket, not a good idea to go for a stun lock thistle tea rotation. You really want to try bait out 1 of his fear using a well timed vanish or also zoning the fear with sprint. Either that or bait the trinket and reset holding energy for a gouge during the stun lock.

Hi there, hope you don't mind the message. I've just basically started WoW in last 2 weeks, I'm debating a Mage or Rogue. What would you say is the easier of the two too get to grips of? i.e Rotation, PvP etc

going with cheapshot on a mage isnt actually that bad - you make sure you build combo points faster, so you can burn his cooldowns and use it to your advantage. you can also prevent the blink if you go with cheapshot into gouge (mages cant blink the gouge), even if he blinks you can easly grenade him or use vanish if you are not engineer. after that you can cheapshot him again and go for a kidney which he will iceblock and probably blink again. You can also bait his iceblock with blind (99% chance mage will iceblock the blind). This is easy tactic to kill a mage even in pve spec, where you probably have improved sprint anyway (to break nova) as there is nothing better to pick in this build all this stunlock idea is cool, until you get orc warrior resisting all of your stuns and smashing you with 2 gcds :)

Agree with this. We know the mage will blink the cheap shot. Which is why we open with it. It forces one of his two important cooldowns and gets us closer to our win condition.

Against skilled dwarf warriors it can take up to 4-5 resets to get a kill. You got 2 blinds + 2 sprintvanishes + rocket helm + net trinket deadzone reset + sticky glue deadzone reset + magic dust. If you REALLY need to kill someone, you can use up to 8 resets + another 7 seconds of LIP facetanking. Skilled rogues can literally kill anything if they want it enough.

good locks with use a succubus and charm you in between your cheap shot and kidney rotation. SL/SL void sac is actually comically bad against rogues since you can sap it off, and you have two blinds in your tool kit. A lock has to get out of a stun lock to win, that’s why you’ll find them fuckin fools up with succubus timing.

If you have a good dagger, you can burts them down real good between burst windows, if you get lucky cross they can die super fast.

I have to disagree with you the best opener for a hemo rogue on a mage is not going to be ambush. Yes its very easy to do an ambush opener but take advantage of the huge evis damage hemo rogues have. Here is my open as hemo rogue on mage: Sap->Cheap shot only -> Sap -> Cheap shot (should have 5 combo points here if not repeat 1 more time) -> 5 point Cold Blood evis. You can also add a gnomish death ray to this combo but remember the mage is likely to block your death ray. Optional open i do is 5 points through sap and cheap shot then garrotte & rupture without breaking sap and get a hemo in before he blinks. (This sometimes works much better after you have softened the mage and get a reset through a blind then you can watch them bleed to death with a smile on your face) If the mage has no shield you could potentially 1 shot the mage if they have less gear than you. 1 thing to also remember is IMMEDIATELY nade the mage after blink as most will go for the poly, if you aren't quick enough the poly will always batch with the nade and you have to be fast with your vanish or use your pvp trinket. A quick nade will stop you wasting your vanish and pvp trinket.

This ignores the fact that sap is rng and very often sap will break before you have to re-stealth for your second cheapshot.
