WoW Classic - The Ultimate Rogue Molten Core Guide (For Parses and Speed Clears)

this guide was really helpful man, still waiting on sword drops in my guild hasnt happened yet. Im always trying to get my parsing up as much as possible but seem to be stuck around 65-70. We have roughly 30 peolpe in our mc runs which im sure is affecting it. I know my rotation is proper, any tips for a fellow sword rogue. Cheers

At most of the bosses u are wasting CP cuz u stack up 4-5 CP for a SnD refresh but the fights lasts not that long. While speedrunning u can refresh ur SnD with 2-3 CP and try to stack up more CP for an final Eviscerate to Boost ur dps! ;-)

Ya i've noticed myself doing this too, since some days we have longer fights (when we are running super casually), but i also just try to get 1 SnD to hold for the fight essentially. It's a habit I would break if BWL wasn't coming so soon lol

Hey Mosquito! We usually only bring 1 druid (ngl it's more-so for Mark of the Wild), and right now it's a druid Off Tank. Although we do use a less-conventional composition with 10 casters instead of like 3 lol.

When do u use ur thistle tea? At the beginning after SND?

Great question Eddie! I would suggest using your Thistle Tea during your overall "burn/CD" phase. Use it right when you see yourself hit 10 or less energy and use your next ability right away. so you dont waste an energy tick

Well that explains my lower parses :P my guild doesn't really do any of these aoe cleave methods so i'm really only using blade flurry for the faster swings right now :P good guide but not much i can do about increasing my dps without a strategy change

Whats the max range thing about on Rag?

Hey Jaeger! Great question. So if you have all your melee stay in, Rag (usually it's kind of buggy) will knock up 1-2 of the closest people to him. So have all rogues stay at max melee range, and warriors stand in closer. Warriors get knocked and can instantly intercept back in. It can bug, i've gotten knocked twice since classics release and our first rag kill (which was week 2)

missing oil of immolation, does an extra 500+ damage on serpent cleave bosses over 15 sec, on wowlogs it should show up as 'Fire Shield' Avg cast 574.0 + 15.2 dps (on lucifron) ohh and juju of flurry - + 3% attack speed if you wanna go big peen try hard.

I have oil of immolation bound to my Sapper Charges. The juju flurry apparently has a bug where it reduces your overall dmg by 3% as well, which apparently theorycrafts less than not using it, even on warriors who gain rage from swings. :)

Hey Teeqzy, I use a combination of Weak Auras, Shadowed Unit Frames, and KUI Nameplates. It's mostly the Weak Auras though that I designed. Hmu on twitch if you want them :)

The footage with me putting a poison on was basically me zoning out and going autopilot in a non-speed run. Rag / Elementals are immune to poison. We rim Ony right after MC some nights so I just let it go through. I didn't have any sharpening stones on me that fight anyways.
