fighting middle is fine most of the time- just sometimes it isn't. similar to AB fighting on roads is great when you're winning, but bad when you're losing.

WSG will always be my favorite battleground. It's very easy to find some action and as a Shaman being a flag runner was always a possibility. Picking up Berserking and doing an Elemental Mastery/Chain lightning was quite fun too

I was a troll rogue engineer, and loved being able to grab the alliance flag, rocket boot off the cliff and parachute my way to the entrance to my base's tunnel. A quick sprint up the slope and I was ready to go do it again. But eventually a patch was introduced that made you drop the flag upon activating your rockets. Spoilsports, haha.

It use to get you could drop the flag and pick it right up again. A preparation rogue was insane during that time period in WSG. Vanish, once slowed. Usually in mid at that point, regrab the flag, hit prep and sprint again.

I missed when they took the buffing out before you entered a BG I use to go golds hire at low level yell buff please and get the high rank buffs and go in and be a boss fight all on your own it was so fun xD

OMG, so many memories... We had a 2 druids flag carriers premade... I was also a flag defending rogue. I was able to make it to lvl 13... I had no life... :-)

Being able to do WSG at low levels is a good way to break from leveling and get a little rep towards those good exalted rewards. Also, not related to WSG, but that AV quest you can take at like lv50-52 gets you a pretty good blue weapon as long as you can win it! BTW: shamans are really good with earthbind totem more than tremor in WSG. Tremor's range kinda sucks in BGs, and earthbind's AOE slow messes up everybody who doesn't have a FAP or BOF going as they support the flag runner or chase the guy who took it. And you can purge those buffs too! Plus ghost wolf for a weaker version of travel form makes them a good runner support or mid support if they're ele/resto, or a face destroyer if they're enh with a good 2h.

I wonder what your view is on the Anti Healer Add On's like H.H.T.D and others like that I played a Resto Druid in vanilla right up to LVL 70 before going just raid healing, and Yes From WSG AB or AV you new you were top of the target tree but They had to spot you healing and mark you up,.. and I use to get a chance to run around heal before they did that,. With Classic and the what I see as the newer add on's, I am more dead than I am alive because I have the HHDT Marker on my head from the very start of the match have add-on's made BG"s a no go for Pug Healers like myself,... Have the BG's become a battle of who has the best Skills over who has the Better Add On's? Like to know your views on this as right now I am still a leveling Restro Druid in Classic and am finding it much worse in the WSG as a healer and am close to stopping healing in BG's all together I never found it like this in Vanilla and that was on RavenCrest Eu a PVP server. Were because of there being no cross-realm BG's you often were face to face with the same guys you meet in the non BG world.

Originally you needed revered with the warsong factions in order to be able to buy the rare items, such as bows and other weapons. If this is still the case in classic, then i doubt most people will farm it for leveling purpose.

Vanilla WSG was fun, the meta is going to shift completely in Classic. If I were to guess I'd say 2-3 rogues + 1 druid with sapper charges and thorium grenades are going to camp the graveyard. with a mage for clean up on the bottom of the cliff. Right when spawn goes off, the rogues and druid are going to dump the sappers and nades, and clean up anyone who stays up top. anyone who jumps down a mage will just be waiting for you. Meta is going to shift to needing FAPs or Major HP Pots to sustain through the burst from the respawn. Whichever team gets the kill advantage off the first or second skirmish is going to get a fast double cap.

I literally just use American football defensive coverage references and the group all of a sudden gets competitive and starts listening, works every time. It’s fun when you assign players certain roles and they actually follow through.

The matchmaking is 100% random. Yes it is possible to end up in a team of 10 randoms with zero healers against a 10-man pre-made.

I do agree alliance was bit overpowering in most BG, but the alliance community eas equally toxic. I had a nightelf hunter, tried 3 guilds Nd so many pvp teams but the toxic behaviour was out of proportion, then i made a Blood elf Mage- man being in horde was a relief. Loosing is bit sad, but we still had fun helping and trying - like it was a breather from the toxic nature of most alliance players. I liked horde so much that i made Blood elf Priest during bc and DK during lich king. Its better to loose and be jolly happy enjoying gameplay than stay with Toxic players and win. HORDE for life!!

Been on battle grounds for the past few hours and alliance hasn't won on my server once. At one point a dude went "everybody split up!". I keep yelling to stick together and nobody listens, you'd think they'd notice the horde keeps coming in groups. I'm so frustrated.

Some of this makes sense, but it really matters the era, sometimes Holy was better than Disc, and early on Enhancement Shaman was way better if not just completely broken, and Ret pally....don't even wanna talk about that haha. We ran a two Priest with a Holy and a Shadow, and Prot war as carrier, Prot war was much more durable than druid and the CC was easily dispelled off him, we used a druid and rogue as a trailer behind him to pick up fumbles haha but Prot war was much easier to keep alive, but this usually depends on the group you have and what people prefer.

Pretty sure Free Action Potion is a physical buff, and cannot be dispelled by enemy priests/shamans.
