5:10 Oh yes I remember the 10-14 boy video from Samaritans Purse ❤ his from Mongolia and he got so excited because his also a sheperd and his riding a horse while guiding his flock. And he showed a small horse figure he got from the OCC as his favorite in the shoebox ❤ and a young girl in the same video got a small tiger plush that she calls teddy bear ❤ their so precious, and it was such a blessing because you can only see terrain and mountains behind the kids. So there is a possibiity that they could only get toys through OCC.

I’m a teacher and I remember teaching my fifth graders how to play cats cradle. We just used pieces of yarn, but they would constantly be doing that during our class read aloud time. Now I teach 6-8th graders and one thing they love is rubik’s cubes-both boys and girls!

I love cats cradle. I passed it down to my girls and love teaching it to young girls still. Yep. Good simple pleasures!

For the older girls, I am making necklaces. They have 1-3 large beads on a decorative Chinese knot. Also, pretty headbands can be used even by girls with very short hair. And I add strips of beading onto flip flops to make the girls feel "fancy".

Yes, I got it at a thrift store still in the packaging. I’m always on the lookout for great deals on makeup bags like this.

I just heard from a young lady in Ukraine that received one of my Shoeboxes. I asked her what her favorite item was, and she said it was the pencil case "and other items." It is always fun to hear what the children like the best- one of the girls from Ukraine said "socks" and "any items to spark creativity."

The pads from Amazon are so bulky that it's limiting my space. I wonder if I can vacuum seal the bag with pads and underwear inside.
