So interesting to bring up The Beatles because in July 1967 they performed on the first global satellite link their new song All You Need Is Love. "While the song remains synonymous with the 1967 Summer of Love ethos and provided the foundation for Lennon's legacy as a humanitarian, numerous critics found the message naive in retrospect, particularly during the 1980s." So what Tears For Fears was doing was commenting on that by creating this song that brought back that same feeling.

Tears For Fears is still performing, still producing new music. Make sure to check out their 2022 album, The Tipping Point. Great songs from there! Honestly, there is no bad TFF album. This song was so new at the time - the length, the mixed sounds. If you see someone with a sunflower tattoo, they're probably TFF fans. More more more! And thank you!

This was such a song that I just had to own the minute I heard it. Still have the vinyl single in my collection. Such a great song and such a fabulous message. Glad you liked it too.

A fabulous message...in which they do not believe. This must be like their version of "Imagine"--the song in which John Lennon did not believe. Ask yourself why these two get away with charging more than 800 dollars for front row seats to their shows. I've seen big name musicians from the '80s for a lot less.

Great band. I saw them when they came to San Antonio on their first U.S. Tour. Was my favorite band at the time.
